These are my favorite writing brushes

These are my favorite writing brushes! They flow beautifully, have amazing color and are easy to work with. They have a large tip so I have some trouble using them for small lettering, but they are perfect for large lettering and for a beginner like me.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Long delivery time

Good flex for beginners

Really good markers with some flex but not too much. Perfect for freehand beginners as you still get variations but don't need a super steady hand to create cool fonts. The only problem is that the ones I use the most wear out after about 6 months. I don't use them very often, so I guess it's not surprising, but if you plan on using the same color for a while, keep this in mind. However, they wear gracefully and can still be used with a little more control.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Annoys me

There's a reason they're a cult classic

I bought them because I've seen videos of them online and thought that even if they're not good in real life, they're good cheap markers would be. Seen in videos about using these markers to create gradients and such, I found them easy to do with a very low learning curve. These marks are smudged. The colors are nothing special. I don't like advice. Honestly, I still prefer Tombow. But as a brush marker for beginners, this is a very good option.

Pros
  • that even the elderly can understand
Cons
  • neutral

So disappointed! in Painting, Art & Art Supplies

I received these a few days ago and was so excited to try them! I've watched videos on Facebook and I don't usually believe in marketing, but that's exactly why I bought these markers. They gave the impression that you could draw or write with calligraphy, and they were thin and thick lines. These marks are normal marks. I wrote in italics and there was no difference in the lines. I've tried clicking them and trying different colors and that doesn't seem to work. Also, the lego part hurts me to

Pros
  • Painting, Art & Art Supplies
Cons
  • Cord is shorter than other items

These are not what I would call brush tip markers. They are definitely not intended for handwriting or modern calligraphy, they are the same as regular markers but with a thinner/pointier tip. Definitely not worth anywhere near $20! I've seen people rave about them, so I'm wondering if I have the bootleg version that's becoming more common on Revain. The colors are nice and vibrant, but the $3 Crayola markers make me draw by hand better. The tips on these are so soft that it's impossible to get

Finally! Brush pens that suit me!

I don't usually take the time to write reviews. However, they arrived today and I tried them right away. To my complete surprise, these brush pens write beautifully for calligraphy! I spent several weeks learning how to paint with a brush. I tried so many other popular brush pens that got great reviews and some of them were quite expensive, but I still couldn't get fine upward strokes. The impetus for me to buy them was a review that said they were perfect for beginners to paint with a brush. I
