Just add water: Window Films

Our bedroom window is 10 feet from our neighbor's window, so we were looking for an inexpensive privacy screen solution to still let the light in. I was a bit nervous about the installation as I've always found it difficult to put screen protectors on things like my phone's screen, but it was surprisingly easy. The kit includes a squeegee and installation instructions. Spray a large amount of water mixture onto the glass (we only added half a dose of hand soap) to ensure even adhesion after…

It's nice to be able to "practice " with it.

Decent privacy screen VERY difficult to cut, especially when it's on a window. Even with brand new razor blades/utility knives and even a scalpel! Inconsistent quality control - out of 2 rolls opened so far, 1 had horrible streaks before it even came off. from paper backing. So it wasn't because I hadn't pushed it out properly. And 1 of 2 rolls did NOT have a plastic scraper. I really think you're better off just buying roller blinds or something. I bought this to hopefully stop using very…

Warning: In 2015 objects weren't as closed as they used to be

This was the most amazing privacy movie ever filmed a few months ago. We have re-ordered this several times over the past few years and as of February 2015 the unit is semi opaque as it used to be and no longer has the disposable scraper. This was vital to us as we needed privacy from neighbors in driveways a few feet from us. See attached photo taken outside in the evening. The lower left panel is from the good old August 2014 reel, the other 3 panels are from the February 2015 reel. You…

It's so easy to use!

This product is so easy to use! The only thing I would recommend is to buy a cheap squeegee and not use the one that comes with the kit. Mine fell apart on the first side of the window making it difficult to squeeze the bubbles out. However, this product was very easy to use. To make it less messy, I recommend putting a towel on the bottom of the sheet to soak up the water. When cutting the product I recommend cutting with the foil facing up rather than cutting through thick paper and then the…

Ask a friend to help with the installation and you'll be fine!

We live in a small 1920's plantation house with 6 and 9 pane windows and needed some privacy from the street and neighbors. The end product was surprisingly impressive, giving us the privacy we craved at the front of the house while still letting in enough light. It looks authentic, not like plastic wrap, and it's easy to remove if you make a mistake during installation (although pricey). ). I paid $20 for a reel that was in "like new" condition. A paper cutter would probably save a lot of time

Works well, easy to install - not for people who walk right by the window

I have 3 windows in the front of the house and still can't decide what to do with them. So I decided to get it now. I placed this in the bottom half of the window and left the top half blank. I have attached an image. I think it looks very good like the others. Definitely better than the temporary curtains I wore for 7 months. In terms of installation, I suggest you purchase a Gila RTK500 window film application kit to use with this or any other film. Leave a reasonable amount of excess before…

Simple and clean! for window film

I used this on a window in a small laundry room. We needed privacy but we didn't want to lose the light. The blinds were always closed (i.e. the light cut off) and dusty. I love the clean, modern feel that looks frosted glass and doesn't need any additional window dressing. It's less transparent than I expected. We see green spots and a dark spot where the car is parked just 2.50 m from the window, but I can't see any details. The same applies, of course, to the house inspection, which had…

Cheaper than Home Depot. It's hard to make it perfect. installation tips.

The best part is I bought this method here at Revain for cheaper than the reel I bought at Home Depot. It was $35 at Home Depot and $20 at Revain. The packaging of Revain is slightly different, it comes in a brown cardboard box. Home Depot's comes in a clear plastic box. They appear to be identical aside from that and the inclusion of a squeegee with Revain. Therefore, it is much more profitable to buy from Revain, and you will also get a squeegee!
