Wiring harness and antenna connector were in perfect condition. The removal tools worked properly, but the plastic frames weren't molded properly. The rounded part has the wrong dimensions, which makes it unusable without trimming, leaving unaesthetic gaps in the corners.

ATTENTION that the included wiring and bezel work fine. but the stereo buttons don't open like they should and one button almost broke when I tried to pull the stereo out, it also rubbed my fingers like cheese, I had to use other home tools to get the standard stereo out.

Contains everything I need for Beetle 05 without a rainy season. There were a few extra parts but the harness adapter, active antenna adapter, bezel mount and fairing all fit and worked great! The removal keys didn't work well and were very sharp but I ended up removing the stock head unit from them so they're good enough and I'm glad they went with it!

Easy installation. After some modifications. Highly recommend taking a nap or something. The rest is good. The wiring harness is pretty straight forward. Pay special attention to the labels on each cable. The only problem I found was the strap size. There is very little space in the torpedo, I had to cut out a part to make everything fit

everything was perfect except dashboard trim parts. had to be sanded somewhere between 2-3mm from the top and bottom edges to allow it to fit into the dash and stay in place. Great look and fit if you have a headache but definitely lose half the purpose of buying a dedicated kit. Not sure if the dashboard simply warped after 19 years in the sun or if the parts were engineered large to accommodate typical POM/ABS shrinkage. but if it doesn't get in, just stop, grab your 100-grit or so…

The VW "New Beetle" has very little space in the dash for the stereo and I had to do a lot of sanding the parts of the kit to get them to fit. While the diagram in the picture probably makes sense to the person who drew it, I found a discrepancy between my radio, the picture and the dash mount. One star deducted for that. Otherwise this kit is exactly what you need to give your rig a professional look. I used the Pioneer DIN style radio in my 2006 VW Convertible Beetle.
