I bought it for fast walking as my knees no longer allow me to walk much. I found these shoes very comfortable and true to size. They are lightweight and protect my feet without feeling bulky or interfering with my stride. I haven't had them long enough to know how long they last, but now I only use them for training.

I've been wearing these shoes for several years as they come in WIDE (2E). Excellent comfort and fit for the feet. I'm a pretty serious runner and often torment this shoe on hills and rough roads. My shoes last four to six months and are still in great condition when I buy a new pair. I'm sure I could use them for many more months, but I'm a fanatic when it comes to protecting my old knees and feet. I usually walk. 25 to 35 miles per week.

I am a big fan of Asics running shoes and have run in previous versions of the Cumulus. The last version of this shoe I wore was the Cumulus 21. Compared to this shoe, the Cumulus 23 is noticeably softer underfoot while maintaining good stability. I would even say that this shoe is softer than my Kayano 26.
