They are slightly adjacent to the beginning of the laces. I had to open them to put my legs in. Hoping they will stretch a bit over time. Somewhat surprising as these were the 4E and other ASICS I own and they go well with the 2E.

They fit well which is a big plus. I've had other brands fall apart within 4 months of purchase. I highly recommend this shoe and the price is amazing by the way. I have bought this special shoe for my son, for everyday use and as a volleyball shoe, 5 or 6 times. They're light, look decent, can take a beating, offer good support and are instantly comfortable. I'd say they wear well, but he outgrows them before he destroys a pair. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND. FWIW. He also wore a pair of ASICS for double-priced volleyball. And he found no difference.

I've been wearing NEW BALANCE for over 20 years. This company recently discontinued the model of shoes I usually buy. Her "proposed replacement" cost $150. So I decided to try them. I'm glad I did. They fit me, they feel comfortable and I can wear them all day.

Comfortable and very durable. I'm on the second pair. The old ones were used for the gym and everyday and still last 3+ years. Nothing replaces genuine leather and high-quality workmanship.

This shoe is good but too tight. I bought a pair of New Balance three years ago and wanted an NB equivalent in the same size and width but they were too narrow even with a narrower sole despite the width being exactly the same on the tag. Those Asics also make them too tight. Had to send Asics shoes back.

They are leather so I expect them to stretch over time! If you are unfortunate enough to have a bump I would suggest a different style if you don't want to damage the shoe. The first wear out of the box was a bit uncomfortable but the second try was much better. I hope the third try will be a charm! I probably won't buy them again, but I won't be returning them either! You might think 4E's are very wide, but it's clear that this particular show 4E fits like a regular shoe. Either they mislabeled it, or ASICS needs to go back to the drawing board, or simply use common sense and intelligence to understand the definition of an ultra-wide shoe versus the M, 2E and 4E.

I can't rate these shoes yet as I haven't used them yet. So my rating is really based on previous and current ASICS that I have. I can say that I have been wearing ASICS gel shoes for many years and they have always fitted well, provided good support and comfort. I play doubles four times a week in these shoes and they last about six months. I then use them to run 3.5 miles once a week for another 6 months and then recycle them to the Salvation Army. These are the most comfortable and best tennis and walking shoes I have ever owned. I am 74 years old and my feet live in these shoes.

I have very wide feet and buying shoes is not an easy task. That's why I've bought the same pair of shoes several times over the last few years. I know some shoes will be smaller than others, but it's not even close. When I got a pair in my size, they didn't fit. I then went full size (although research online showed Asics are usually half a size smaller). Got this pair and they were small too. And yes, I tried them on right after waking up in the morning.

ASICS running shoes are hard to find in stores. Superior quality compared to Nike/Adidas; simple white and blue style (no wild flowers), great fit, great price. No complaints.

After the purchase, it is still too early to make a reliable assessment of the product. I have only tried the product twice for short distances and short wear times. I ordered a large size (I usually wear a standard size) and am glad I ordered a large size. I think the default width would be too narrow.
