👟 ASICS GT-1000 9 Men's Running Shoes Review

Totally comfortable. Wore these Asics on my first test run today and a very light run. Absolutely comfortable! Great comfort/support midsole! Great cushioning, support and heel protection! I love the color and overall aesthetics/design and breathability! For the first time in my life I bought "asics" shoes/sneakers. Bye; I am actually and honestly impressed! Felt super padding on the balls of the feet. I like that it's light. The colors make any man or woman an alluring magnet and the ventilation is excellent. Not sure how long the soles will last but after 20 miles they look good. at least 250 km. The laces are cheap and wide, which I hate, and not long enough for a jogger tie. However, the crotch feels great and sits right where it should be. can be narrow if you have wide feet like usual Asics style. I really liked this color edition.

After less than three weeks of wearing these shoes the mesh in the toe area is almost worn out. These shoes look good, feel good, fit well, but the well-ventilated mesh is very poorly made. I've only run and got maybe 40 miles on them. I know the mesh can wear out, but as always, it usually takes months. By then, the soles will usually also wear out. My nails aren't sharp, nothing about them warrants it. There were several other versions of the GT-1000 that did well. They need a redesign.

I actually had a chance to carefully inspect the shoes as they were terribly uncomfortable and my heel was bruised. I've worn a size 10.5 for decades and in these I felt like I was in a size 9.5, my toes literally resting on the front of the shoe. I usually have a slight pronation and big toe so I prefer EEE but with these I had to take a chance. The sock is a little tight, but I still feel comfortable. They are very comfortable and have good stability but I honestly think they are inferior to the GT-1000 8 overall. I stop every 1.5 miles to put both shoes in because they have flat laces compared to the 1000 8 round laces that don't untie at all. We need to stop running to answer a call, answer an important message, or maybe shake the sweat out of our headphones, but not to constantly tie our shoelaces. It's boring lol.
