Works great, the pipe is long and works great with a lift or jack, you can cut it to size and there really isn't much mess. I have used this several times and it works great. You can shorten the plastic tube as I think it is too long. While this item isn't required when changing the oil, it keeps it cleaner and prevents the oil from spilling all over the place when you remove the filter cap. I use this on my son's 2006 GTI.
