High quality versatile running shoes

I wore them at Lake Havasu. It was very hot but the legs were comfortable. As I made my way through the water, I didn't feel the rocks under my feet. It was perfect. I spent several hours there but didn't come out limping. The shoes are also lightweight so you don't feel like you're wearing sneakers. If you've ever climbed rocks in regular water shoes, you're missing out on Astral. For your health!

Pros
  • comfortable. Don't slip on wet stones.
Cons
  • Waaaaa the color is different from the picture in real life, it's more black than blue...don't like it

These shoes are too small, the insoles smell when they get wet (river shoes!) Zero star product. When I contacted the company to say I loved my first pair and hated these, they did nothing to satisfactorily resolve the situation.

Pros
  • 9 fits like 8.5
Cons
  • Midsole arch was too high - this was a problem for me as I have flat feet - sent back

The best shoes for the water!

I love this version 2.0! This is a big improvement over the original brewers. I liked the original Brewers, except for the fact that I had to glue the rubber outsole every two weeks. It's a redesigned outsole and it's 100% better!

Pros
  • Very comfortable wet or dry. Ideal for canoeing, rafting and on the beach. Water drains easily from the drainage holes in the toe and heel area.
Cons
  • Not suitable for formal occasions

Comfortable, quick drying and lightweight. I love these shoes!

I love these shoes. They are very comfortable and dry incredibly quickly. The drop heel is a fantastic feature. Not only have they become my shoes for the water, but also my shoes for a warm day in the city. They are also very light. Keep in mind that they are a bit small in my opinion. I usually wear an 8.5 with socks but in these I wear a 9 barefoot. PS I tried Loyaks but they are too rough inside. It is wonderful.

Pros
  • Very good grip on rocks when rafting
Cons
  • Can be noisy when walking

Great water shoes! in my rating

Great shoes! They fit my wide foot and are comfortable. I'm in the water, rocks, sand 4 or 5 days a week and charging up with anything wet or dry.

Pros
  • I really love these shoes but I had to send them back because the size 12 was too small.
Cons
  • Inadequate support for people with foot problems

Fantastic kayak shoes

These shoes are exactly what I was looking for. Yes, they're a bit more expensive than the water shoes you can find at the discount store, but if you're looking for safety when crawling over rocks (in or out of the water), these are the shoes. They are very grippy on wet or dry surfaces.

Pros
  • Very comfortable and they adhere perfectly to rocks. I ran 6 miles in them right out of the box.
Cons
  • The sizes are small, it is not visible in the photo, but they are very narrow.

Uncomfortable best in my rating

I ordered them a few months ago in anticipation of a trip to the Caribbean. The Omicron option changed all that and I'm only now able to use it. I ordered my usual size and to my dismay they seem unusually small and uncomfortable. The construction feels solid and they drain well. But when it comes to shoes, it's FIT, FIT AND FIT. If I had realized that earlier I would have changed her to a larger size, but this ship sailed away.

Pros
  • I like the weight and balance of the shoe.
Cons
  • May cause blisters if not worn with socks

The best shoes for water

There was the 1st version of the Astral Brewer, which I really liked. 2nd generation proved worthy! I've already taken them to 2 multis. Day rafting tours. Great fit, hard and so sticky on wet rocks!

Pros
  • Great light shoe!
Cons
  • Feet can become sweaty in hot weather

Nice next iteration of the brewer.

Really good, but why do shoes like this have laces these days? I replaced them with quick laces and I like them better because I can put them on and take them off. Also, the outsole is a bit thin (better than the original Brewers, but still thin) so you have to be careful not to damage the arch on rocky surfaces.

Pros
  • Continuous
Cons
  • Not suitable for formal occasions or work environment

great shoes my review

Great fit and durable. Excellent for beach trips. Not rated for a ton of sand but generally works well. Comfortable. Captures perfectly and lets us breathe with bare feet

Pros
  • Fashionable and high quality shoes! Used them for sea kayaking near San Francisco.
Cons
  • Not ideal for winter use

Does not dry quickly!

Comfortable shoe, I like its concept but I expected more from it. It has excellent grip on slippery surfaces but takes a long time to dry leaving wet feet all day. The holes allow most water to drain, but the shoe catches sand too easily. Creates an uncomfortably wet, gritty experience, leaving you wanting dry shoes or sandals.

Pros
  • Comfortable from the start.
Cons
  • Can be difficult to clean

Great outdoor water shoes

This summer I took a 100+ mile canoe trip into the Adirondacks. Picked up these shoes and they did not disappoint. They dried quickly and didn't have the "funky" smell that I would notice in regular running shoes used as water shoes. It should be noted that these water shoes do not come in large sizes. I previously bought a pair in my shoe size and they were very tight! I went up a size and they were more comfortable on my feet!

Pros
  • The outsole of the Astral Men's Brewer 2.0 Everyday Minimalist Outdoor is made from a sticky G.15 rubber compound for excellent traction on a variety of surfaces.
Cons
  • Cannot be used for extreme water sports.

NO free returns and the shoes are too small

If for some reason you don't buy this climbing shoe, it will be too narrow for the size you normally wear shoes in. And if you try to send it back, you will be charged for the shipping cost.

Pros
  • The best water shoes I've ever had
Cons
  • May cause discomfort on rocky terrain.

Great company - great product

I love Astale! I probably own three or four different pairs of water shoes and hiking boots, not to mention their life jackets. Great product, great customer service. They completely replaced a four-year-old pair of shoes when the sole ripped. You can't go wrong with Astral! Great quality and great customer service!

Pros
  • Great shoes!
Cons
  • Poor traction in certain areas

Too tight for me. the best in my rating

It would be dishonest to write a review as I would not be able to wear them but thought it would be helpful to say that they are very snug. I have a wide foot but not so wide that I needed special wide shoes and it felt like I couldn't even fit in. It looked cool. Simply. Tough. It looked promising.

Pros
  • The Astral Brewer 2.0 Everyday Minimalist Outdoor Shoe for men offers maximum comfort with a cushioned footbed and breathable mesh upper.
Cons
  • Not recommended for long walks

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Very bad durability

Bought Astral Brewer waders for fly fishing. In my area, except for late July and August, the creeks are too cold for wet fords. These are very comfortable shoes and the sole is quite grippy. However, on my fourth use, the rubber outsole came off the shoe. Very disappointed with the product. I have contacted Astral but have not yet received a response. So far, in my experience, customer service doesn't seem to be a priority.

Pros
  • The color in the photo is light, but in reality it is darker, e.g. B. dark blue or dark blue.
Cons
  • Small

It's worth it! in my opinion

These things are great. I got them to go camping/fishing in the mountain streams. More cushioning than Loyak for more comfort when hiking. Excellent grip on slippery rocks. A little tight, but I can live with that.

Pros
  • Extremely comfortable and light. Water shoes are highly recommended and sufficient for everyday use.
Cons
  • Not suitable for people with wide feet

Very enjoyable shows

Bought these shoes for kayaking. Lighter than I expected but very durable. The sole is thick enough not to feel pebbles or small stones when walking. And they stick well to the ground. My only complaint is that very small pebbles get into the gutters at the front leaving you with rocks in your shoes. For all of that I give 4.75 stars.

Pros
  • I love this kayak shoe. They were cute and stuck to wet rocks.
Cons
  • Not suitable for outdoor activities

Wide-toe shoes

They were advertised as wide-toed shoes. You are not. I don't even have particularly wide feet, I just like the wide toe box and wear them almost exclusively. I couldn't even put them on comfortably. In the picture, the narrow brown shoe on the right is Astral. The baggy black boot on the left is Altra Torin, a really baggy sock. Both men US 9.5. (I even double checked they didn't send women's shoes because they were so tight.) I thought I'd like them based on the description but it's…

Pros
  • Good product
Cons
  • Can be slippery on wet surfaces

Great shoes, terrible size

I liked everything about this shoe except how it fits. I have worn a size 11 my entire adult life and the size 11 of this shoe is more like a very narrow 9 or 10. I have returned it.

Pros
  • My first pair lasted 5 years so it's time for a new pair. The only shoe I would pay 100€ for
Cons
  • not versatile enough for everyday use
