Model 3018 (2015 model) proved to be very unreliable

Ordered this model a few years ago (warranty expired) and found a few disappointing features.1. The air cartridge did not provide a good seal for the tire valve stems2. After replacing the CR2450 battery a couple of times and checking the voltage of the (second) battery 3 weeks later, it was discovered that the batteries were being drained through internal circuitry. (with the block switched off). 0.5 volts dropped. > I figured that with such a drain on the battery, this block wouldn't last…

OK while it worked (2 times

Bought based on a youtube review to use with our campervan. I tested it when I got it on our pickup tires and it worked fine. Couldn't use it use on an RV until rear window closed Measured OK once on RV, reported 0psi thereafter Checked locking air chuck, no obvious problems Tried other non-locking air chuck No difference Air hose removed and checked for clogs, they weren't there Batteries checked, you're loading the test well. So the only option now is to send it in in the hopes of a warranty…

Incredible product.

Beautiful. I'm not sure what everyone is talking about Phillips head screws. Mine came with instructions on how to peel off the rubber insulator, lift the battery cover, insert the batteries (4 AAA batteries included, 2 required). It lasted about 2 minutes because I took a sip of beer. Screwed onto the male hose fitting (came with the male and female brass fitting installed) ended up comparing to my other gauges. Vented within 1/2 psi of the other 2. Cool thing, just needed this tool to get to…

EXACTLY the same model as the Blue-Point Sensor!

I'm a new full-time mechanic and have amassed the best quality tools I could find on a fairly tight budget. I check tire pressures, cap tires, mount and balance tires, investigate TPMS issues, etc. all day long. I figured it was finally time to get my own meter instead of looking for a generic meter at the store. This is EXACTLY the same product as my colleague's Blue Point pressure gauge. But it cost about a third of its cost. Of course, Snap-On, Mac, Cornwell and Matco make quality hand tools

Useless POS company. Buy another brand!

I bought this gauge (Astro 3018) based on a friend's digital gauge (same one) he had for over 2 years. I have used and loved it! I then bought my own in April 2019 and it was fantastic for three days. On the fourth day I wanted to use it and it was dead. Okay, I found that the batteries that came with it were dead so I put in new batteries. Great, it's working again! Two days later. dead! This lasted for over a month while trying different brands of new batteries. Duracell, EverReady, Rayovac…

Great tool even after 9 months of active use

I work in a small workshop with 2 other technicians and of all the tools I've bought this is one of the few I didn't have. Problems with. For starters, the build quality is very solid, with brass hardware and braided stainless steel tubing. In addition, the stress-free hose includes a rubber strain relief where the hose exits the tool. Even after several months of intensive use, the hose shows no signs of wear. As far as air feeds go, this is the most comfortable and intuitive I've ever used…
