🔧 Astro 3082 TPMS Dial Tire Inflator: Precise Pressure Monitoring & Convenient Stainless Hose for Optimal Inflation (0-65 psi) Review

I like the Astro 3082's large, very easy to read dial, its rugged looks, and its ease of use to increase or decrease tire pressure. This is a professional kit. I should have bought it a long time ago instead of using stupid battery powered digital gauges and rising stem gauges.

I went cheap first and bought a cheaper alternative that claims to work the same, although I've tried the same pump from other people who have them. In the end I gave in and bought it because it's accurate, has an amazing metal lining and a rotating hose, that's all there is to say. I'm proud of this thing.

I like this tire gauge. The sensor is large and very easy to read. I like how they implemented pressure relief. Half press releases pressure and full press increases pressure. My gauge is about 5psi off, but almost every gauge I've used is about 5-10psi off. To inflate tires you need a compressor.

I work at a Toyota dealership and specifically wanted a dial scale, not a digital one. Perfect scale for what I use it for, unlike what I got from Matco which was too big so wasn't small enough. I'm almost inclined to buy another one to use at home if I ever open an air shop. I love it.

Now it's my favorite tool and I have a lot of tools. I'm not a mechanic either. In the past, inflating tires with air by moving them back and forth with an air chuck and tire inflation tool was always tedious. The dial is nice, big, and easy to read, and it's now really fun to check and bleed the tires on my family's cars and bikes. Sounds weird I know, but with this tool it's so easy, it's true! :)

Fill/exhaust valve and gauge design is superb! The Astro Inflator gauge reads the same as my Accugage gauge. So now I only have to rely on the Astro pump to check the tires. That saves a lot of time. One downside: while the Astro hose attaches to the tire valve with no leaks in most cases, the connection to at least one of the four identical valves on each car will leak and the hose must be held down. Well built, robust and accurate transducer. I ended up buying this Astro, ARB, Longacre and a Joe's Racing gauge. I returned both ARB and Joe's Racing. ARB was made in China and is not accurate. Joe's Racing was buggy because every time you opened a valve to fill a tire, the gauge read full line pressure, binding the gauge and throwing it out of calibration. The only way to prevent this is to make sure the line pressure is below 60psi, which is impractical when attempting to inflate a tire. I…
