Not compatible with UPOL Raptor bottle liners.

I bought these on the assumption that most of the Schutz guns are similar and I can use them with a UPOL Raptor balaclava. Raptor liner bottles have a different cap size so they will not thread onto this gun and the "straw" going into the bottle is too short to fully utilize all of the material in the Raptor liner bottle . If you want a gun that is compatible with a Raptor balaclava, don't buy it. Otherwise they seem to work well and are well made.

I used it to paint the bottom of a trailer.

Used to spray the underside of my car trailer with 3M 08864 Body Protection Rubberized Coating Black. The key to spraying this substance is a very good mix. The first time I didn't, it jammed the gun. I also thinned it by topping up the bottles with lacquer thinner, although I don't think it was needed for the gun. Even diluted, I couldn't get it to spray out of this gun with the 3M primer hose attached. He went about 1/2 up the pipe and then pounded it.

Found a bottle that fits in the trash.

Very good quality and it works very well with Fluid Film. One star deducted only because it doesn't come with a bottle. The Home Depot spray bottle mentioned in other comments fits, but it breaks under vacuum because it's made of thin, flexible plastic. Enlarging the opening in the gun's cap might have helped, but I now use a large white plastic multivitamin bottle, which is much more rigid. Works well, doesn't break. Glad I got it out of the trash a while ago!

Engine Oil Primer

I just painted my truck with this little tool. I have a 20 lb supercharger and it sprays used motor oil like a good mist. Worked very well. Instead of finding the right container, I bought a 5 gallon bucket with an airtight lid. He lengthened the hose from the gun feed to the bucket. I drilled a small hole in the lid, very similar to the hole you see on the gun's "lid" where the reservoir should be. And I used some very good putty to caulk where the hose goes through the bucket, but you can use

Nice spray gun easy to modify

I bought the ABN spray gun to have a second gun with the spray tube already attached so going back and forth would be a quick air hose change. Unfortunately, the ABN gun has a very long suction tube that fits my standard reservoir bottles and it doesn't fit the threads of the HDX spray bottles I will be using. (By the way. The $2 bottles of HDX are perfect for the Astro 4538 gun.) So I took the spray tip off the ABN gun and put it on the Astro gun so I could easily change the tip if needed. The

Ideal for applying liquid films!

I've had this dirt gun for about a week now, I've done 3 cars and 1 ATV with it and it works great. I prefer Fluid Film Primer and this gun sprays it well. As mentioned in other reviews, I have found that it works best when sprayed at around 80psi or so without thinning the liquid film. The gun comes with two suction tubes, one longer and one shorter. It would have been nice if it came with a longer "barrel" to get into those tight spots, but at this price point I can't complain. I tried…
