Works best in tools and implements

Great tool. A few people have complained about small spikes breaking, but I think they're just being too aggressive with it. If you practice a few times with the smaller inserts and squeezing them outdoors you will get a feel for how easy they are to compress and you may not break anything as easily.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Not as thick as other pickaxes

Must have extreme grip strength

Much less than pictured. The only way to crimp a rivet nut with this tool is that the lever and handle are too short for the rivet nut. I tried crimping a Toyota Highlander footpeg nut but couldn't crimp any other than the short handle of this tool. Its handles are not long enough to create leverage. I ended up connecting 2 channels to make the tool useful. The return period has expired.

Pros
  • High marks for grip and durability from testers
Cons
  • Working speed

Real Disappointment - Riveting Tools

I bought a 1443B socket to replace my existing 1443A. The reason I did this was because I had already broken 2 mandrels for the 1443A and it was difficult to find a replacement. The 1443B uses a standard mandrel system available from several different manufacturers. My disappointment is that the TOOL itself broke on the 3rd threaded nut I was attempting to install. Worst of all I only installed the smaller 10-24 Riv-Nut bits to be exact and I think the tool would break even faster at 1/4-20 or…

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • New Competitors
