I do not cease to rejoice at the purchase, a very good deal!

purchased mostly for the purpose of archiving crucial data on BD discs. He handles this work admirably. one of the top BD drives available.

Pros
  • 1. Discs with several recording formats (CD, DVD, BD, and M-discs) 2. Discs with a fast enough recording rate. 3. Reliable recording with no hiccups or glitches. 4. Relatively quiet.
Cons
  • 1. Quite pricey.

I liked it, this is my first blu ray drive :) Got pros: It reads all discs perfectly, I haven't tried to write yet. The plastic is of high quality, the tray slides out quite quietly. Noisy during operation is quite weak. The assembly is fresh - 2022. Some cons: The reading head works loudly (crunches, rattles), maybe it should be so? The disc tray is a little loose. Expensive, costs about 5000!

A valuable purchase, some advantages!

Has pros: phenomenal write speed to all existing media, speed of data exchange, cost, pleasant performance of the device With its cons: there are no shortcomings, perhaps something that cannot read hd dvd, but I have never seen such discs

Asus, a name you can trust.

The last computer I built with an Asus drive was built over ten years ago and it still works perfectly. I bought this to install on my wife's new computer and the quality is as good as ever. Easy to install, open, close, read and copy quickly, quietly and reliably. I expect this one to last as long and as well as my original (which I still have and use regularly).

  • Free for educational purposes

Good disc.: Computer components

If you buy to use it as a Blu-ray player, I recommend PowerDVD 19 Ultimate. I've tried cheaper ones and they work for some movies and not others. So far all my movies work with PowerDVD 19 Ultimate. It's a bit more expensive, but worth it if you want to play Blu-ray movies without any issues. If you are having trouble with the firmware update that comes with the installation disc, just go to the ASUS website and update it from there.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • I'm worried

Good for Dell Tower/Windows 7 and Windows 10 2010

Quiet and relatively fast. About 12 minutes to burn 22GB. Regular installation of recording device and software. Burning backup discs with photos and videos went smoothly. The software leaves an ugly "gadget" on the desktop that I'll probably learn to ignore in a few days. Otherwise, the software works as required to burn Blu-ray discs. My tower is a Dell XPS 8300 with covers on the front of the burners. You press a button on the side and the bowl opens the lid from the inside. The Asus…

works as advertised

So far so good but I'll warn you it doesn't come with any Blu-ray reader software and neither does it come with Windows 8+ so if you'd like to get a Blu-ray ray movie on your PC, you need to buy a third party player. There aren't any free ones I could find. You CAN watch DVD movies as many free players can view them.

Pros
  • Complete set
Cons
  • A little wrinkled

Not So Good: Internal Optical Drives

Bought recently and found it is NOT one of the best authors as all these reviews say. Go to NewEgg and take a look at these reviews. I wish I had seen or read that this is one of the worst burners. No firmware updates, the software is a trial version of an outdated software. They sent me version 8 and now they are at version 10. Apparently even with this software the Blu-ray is not playable. I tried to update the software and was not told that I only had a trial version and was not even allowed

Pros
  • Handsfree
Cons
  • Very Expensive

Bought to record hard drive backup to Blu-Ray as it holds more.

I have backed up our computers to DVD and external drives. This requires a lot of DVDs. I move all these backups from DVD to Blu-ray to save space. I also store photos and downloads for the computer on them. So nice to be able to put 25gb. on a hard drive instead of 4.25 GB. Happy Days. It's a great drive and we also have an Asus DVD burner that we've used for years. If you record Blu-Ray with Nero, you must be connected to the internet to record to it. Small price for an additional room. We…
