I have backed up our computers to DVD and external drives. This requires a lot of DVDs. I move all these backups from DVD to Blu-ray to save space. I also store photos and downloads for the computer on them. So nice to be able to put 25gb. on a hard drive instead of 4.25 GB. Happy Days. It's a great drive and we also have an Asus DVD burner that we've used for years. If you record Blu-Ray with Nero, you must be connected to the internet to record to it. Small price for an additional room. We don't trust the cloud, we're old-fashioned.
