Easy to install, works great!

The ethernet connection on my motherboard has slowed down to a minimum. I bought this device and installed it and am now back to full speed. It was very easy to install and a lot cheaper than a motherboard replacement!

Pros
  • Looking forward to it
Cons
  • Security

It works Internal components

It's as simple as it gets, no Realtek chip specs. The card itself isn't the worst not to spoil the aesthetics of others, but the red PCBs aren't the best either. It's only $40 so at least we have that. The reason for all the egg deductions is that I can't change my bios or card bios to disable the loading splash screen that comes up on every reboot. Don't even try, nothing works and there are no answers. As long as you're happy with this map's decent performance and annoying loading screen…

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes

A welcome addition to my PC

I just moved to a new location and now the ISP is offering over 1Gbps but my motherboard still has a 1Gbps ethernet port so I decided to to use this card. the new internet speed suggested here, and it works great! I just installed it and Windows automatically detected and installed the drivers (no need to use the CD that came with it). And now I get the necessary speed! It also protects my desktop in the future, so I'm very happy with it! UPDATE 8/21/2021 Unfortunately, the adapter has started…

  • Always liked

Install the latest driver pack from the Asus website

I became interested in this card when I signed up with my cable provider for a gigabit plan that was upgraded from 1.0GB to 1.44GB . I needed a multi gigabit network card and this Asus card worked very well. The price is reasonable and Asus is more than good at developing functional drivers for its hardware. Currently on a Windows10 x64 desktop with XFinity 1.44GB cable. So far he has done a great job and everything I expected from him has been fulfilled.

Pros
  • Finally bought it
Cons
  • Not sure

Requires Asus drivers for 2.5Gb/s speed

Works well but slightly slows down the boot process. Tech Note: While the card will run at 100Mbps with native Windows 10 64-bit drivers, you must have the latest drivers installed from the Asus website to get 2.5Gbps. Also, when booting, make sure to enter the card's BIOS boot mode the first time you restart the computer after installation to select boot options. (For me, this meant changing the second option to allow booting from local devices). Much luck!

Pros
  • Worth the money
Cons
  • Too long to wait

Works as it should!

UPDATE: After a day or two of normal usage, my computer kept "disconnecting" from my router. That didn't fix it either, I had to physically unplug the ethernet cable from that NIC and plug it back in. After this happened 5 or more times a day I figured Amazon would replace it. I received my replacement and have been using it for a week and not a single package has been lost. I guess the first thing I got was the failed one. The new one works great. Very easy to install. It didn't come with any…
