Decent budget board, noticeable flaws.

I've had this motherboard on it for a few months now so I can be fair about it and in general I'm not happy with it and I feel different Better options The first downside is that there are no good heatsink caps for the SSD card, so it is very visible and has higher thermal performance. There aren't many USB ports on the back either. Most motherboards at this price have around 8! The metal back panel is very fragile and cheap and can literally look like it's going to break. Overall this is a…

Doesn't run XMP on RAM

I bought a cheap Z series to run faster RAM, I can't make this motherboard work with 1.35V or 1.45V RAM, I have it There are two systems in which it works great. different, but doesn't even boot on this motherboard. If you want to run anything with the base motherboard settings of 1.15-1.25V, you'll need to buy a different brand or higher motherboard.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Slightly wrinkled

The dumbest MB on the market!

1st review has not been published! 9 bios updates! I installed the latest still fancy motherboard. Installing DDR 4 is a joke! Always thought highly of Asus, but this one was designed by a 5 year old. 9 bios updates tell me something is weird. My MSI only has 3. After a couple of CMOS resets everything works fine. I have nvidia 3090 installed but can't run nvlink or sli. He will work in the crossfire. For that money I could and should have bought MSI.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Poor instructions

It works as advertised for now

Bought to replace a Z490 board from another company that wouldn't boot. Either it didn't like the two XMP-compatible 16GB 3200MHz sticks I bought, or it needed an extra 4-pin input for a processor I didn't have. If the motherboard was the problem, I bought that, installed the CPU, RAM, graphics card, and tested it with the standard dual 4-pin CPU inputs. Sweet. First time no problem. Finished assembly and started bios. The RAM was originally read at 2133MHz, but the XMP I profile bumped it up…
