The motherboard is excellent - be careful with IO Shield

The features and quality of the board are excellent, but there are a few remarks: First, the manufacturer does a very poor job. explains how to update the BIOS using the Flashback function. If you're installing an AMD 5000 series CPU, the BIOS that the board comes with isn't compatible, but you need a way to update it without the CPU installed, and that's where the Flashback feature comes in, and it does is very convenient, but it is VERY SPECIFIC about the type of USB drive you are using. It…

New motherboard is cheaper than Crosshair VIII Hero but just as good

After returning two expensive Crosshair VIII Hero motherboards and choosing this cheaper recently released motherboard, it worked great right out of the box. Trouble booting but I installed the latest Asus non-BETA BIOS using the flashback button on the back of the motherboard and reset my monitor and it started to boot and had video output. This motherboard is over $100 less than the Crosshair. VIII Hero but also Crosshair VIII Hero and this X570 Pro Wifi have the same features like: 1- Both…

Great motherboard

It took a few tries to flash the BIOS, but my Ryzen 5000 processor worked fine after booting. It comes with a driver CD, which is an interesting choice in 2020, but I used a USB BIOS flash. One note, the blinking instructions are in two separate sections in the manual, so it took a bit of experimentation. If you're having trouble, use a flash drive that lights up when active so you know it's installing. Installed version (Beta at the time) is 2812. Also, the user manual was very helpful and the

The worst! in Computers and accessories

No network connection via LAN or WIFI. Network controller driver not found! Drivers are delivered on CD! Copying from a floppy disk to a USB flash drive on an old computer was lying around for me. It shouldn't be like that. Just a terrible product. Should have waited for the Tomahawk x570

ASUS TUF GAMER outperforms MSI MPG X570 GAMING PLUS

I switched to the ASUS TUF series after looking at tests and reviews. I wanted onboard WIFI and INTEL NIC. After completing my upgrade from MSI MPG X570 GAMING PLUS, I noticed faster boot up to Windows desktop speed, better USER BENCHMARK test and internet is slightly faster! I've synced CPU and RAM with MSI settings and so far I'M IMPRESSED! No MSI fan anymore. The INTEL network card on this board is the key for every gamer! No "TURBO LAN" loaded, just pure NIC performance! Intel is the KING…

Pros
  • Best gaming connectivity: HDMI 2.1 output (4K@60HZ) and DisplayPort 1.2 support, two M.2 slots (NVMe SSD) – PCIe 4.0 x4 connection, front USB 3.2 Gen 2 connector type - C, USB 3.2 Gen 2, Type-C and Type-A ports
Cons
  • Good, but not great

Update - Great MoBo! Buy it!

I have bought many Asus components. And usually I love them. After purchasing a Ryzen 5000 series processor, I settled on the x570 motherboard. It seems excellent value for money. However, there are 2 BIG problems so far and I am very disappointed. 1.) I bought a good memory kit for this - 3600 cl16. It works great and even surpasses 3600/cl16 with ease. However, on this board with the current BIOS (3001) the performance is actually slower and it's noticeable when running DOCP which…
