It was great but not now

Bought this for my wife to use as a new work computer. I wanted to try an inexpensive gaming laptop that stays fast for what she uses it for. She works a lot in Word, Excel, keeps records, holds video meetings and gives video tutorials. So far it's working great! Update after wife has been using it for 1 1/2 months for business (Microsoft office and web) the laptop screen randomly goes black a few times a day with the fan getting louder and she has to do a hard reboot. Everything is up to date,

Online University Use

I've only had this laptop for two months. The only thing I don't like is that when I pause a video and don't watch it for too long, sometimes when I go back and press play I hear the video but the timer doesn't work and the screen is white. After 30-45 seconds he finally corrects himself. I also have a pair of Cowin wireless headphones and if I pause a video for too long and then come back it won't play at all and just shows a loading screen. So my patience has run out and I just restart my…

Mostly excellent but serious battery issue

The size of the laptop is nice, however the number pad took some time to get used to as it is not a standard configuration. I've had my laptop for a little over 6 months and have been very happy with it during that time. However, now the battery suddenly runs out of charge, so I have to keep it plugged in all the time to use it, which isn't always convenient. To make matters worse, it took forever to figure out which battery to put in. I'm pretty sure I found the right one, but I won't know…

Good basic/office laptop. My 4th computer Asus

Overall a good laptop for office use. Feels very light and responsive. Obviously not for gaming. The screen is a little dark, but ok. Good touchpad and keyboard, very small power adapter, USB-C, good speakers. I'm surprised it doesn't have an SD card reader, just a mini SD slot. So if you have a digital camera that uses an SD card, be prepared to buy a small adapter. Nothing bad, but still very unusual.

Pros
  • Conventional laptops
Cons
  • Hard to say
