AT&T SL80108 DECT 6.0 Digital Cordless Extension Handset

Although I bought this product used, it came from the seller in excellent condition and is an OEM product which is a perfect match for the AT&T extension. Phone for my AT&T base unit (AT&T SL82118) that I have owned for years. Perfect match. It was easy to successfully register and get started with the base, pairs perfectly with existing handsets, and offers AT&T's clarity of sound and reliability.

Pros
  • Free for educational use
Cons
  • Not as thick as other models

Great phone at a great price.

I have owned this four satellite handset phone system for several years. I can't say enough about its reliability and quality. I recently bought two more expansion tubes, bringing the system up to seven tubes. However, the price of $79.95 (including shipping) for a handset blew me away. I paid significantly more for these two phones than for the entire five phone answering machine. It's still a fantastic phone system.

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Good but not great

Good value for money

After reading all the reviews on this product I decided to buy this product and an answering machine kit with 4 identical phones. The fact that every phone has speakerphone is one of the reasons I bought them. If I was asked what I would do to improve dialing, I would add a vibration option so I can feel it if I have it on my waist or in my pocket when I'm outside in a noisy place when he calls. It is very easy to program numbers and all phones add them at the same time.

  • Nice
Cons
  • Doubtful

Low quality. Only worked for a few years

I bought this phone in 2009 with the basic kit. Over time, the batteries began to lose connection. I had to disconnect and reinsert the battery. Then some phones started getting static. Now one of the phones doesn't even work anymore. If you now press the speakerphone button on the handset, the entire headset will turn off and the call will end. The phones worked normally for about 1-2 years, and then the problems started. Now only two of 5 phones work reliably for us. We were very disappointed

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • Poor

Good phone; Headphone/headset jack can fail

I have five of these phones. Overall I like it, but some of them ended up with a lot of static or unusable connectivity through the headset port. The rest of the phone is fine. I also broke a couple of belt clips by bending over while the phone was attached to me. These phones are often used in speakerphone mode and do a great job, but they drain the battery and sometimes in this mode the phone will just turn off and on again with no low battery warning. These phones are heavily used. I'veโ€ฆ

GREAT phones! - Office Electronics

We have had these phones for about a year. And they are the BEST we have ever had! We're very tough on phones. We always drop them or get wet. We have tried many phones over the years and this is THE BEST so far! They allow us to walk all over our property (and even down the block a bit) before a little noise is heard. Most other phones had a lot of static in our own backyard! We have a main phone with an answering machine base and have bought a few extra phones. The phone is very easy toโ€ฆ

AT$T SL80108 in Phones & Accessories

I bought a set of four AT&T SL80108 (AT&T SL82418) about 6 months ago when I switched my phone service from Verizon to Vonage. At the time I was planning to use Verizon as my ISP and didn't want to upgrade my home phone system because you can't mix DSL lines with regular phone lines. The system worked so well that I decided to buy another expansion unit. After having the entire AT&T SL82418 system, I decided to use the house wiring system for my old phones, but it introduced a lot of noiseโ€ฆ

Just what we needed

We already had a version of this phone a few years ago and have since moved to a larger house. Thus, the original three phones were not enough. Then we lost one of the phones and there were only 2 left, so we finally gave up and started looking for additional phones to make our lives a little easier. We found them simply because they matched the AT&T phones we already have (the serial numbers don't match exactly, but that's ok, these phones were built to replace several different versions ofโ€ฆ
