I wanted a smaller bookshelf for my granddaughter's books. It was very easy to assemble. It took about 10 minutes in total. I was disappointed with the cardboard backing. It consisted of two parts connected by a large piece of black ribbon down the middle. It looked really cheap. I didn't put up all the shelves (2 on the left) otherwise there wouldn't be a single book in there (maybe better for CDs). It serves its purpose but is quite expensive for what you get.

As a skilled carpenter, I bought this just for a vacant space to fit an existing bookshelf. It's very easy to put together, it's sturdy and what I like is that the back slides into a groove instead of being nailed down. 2 minor issues there are no letters on the parts and for those not used to assembly or assembly this might confuse some, 2nd minor issue they don't supply little black plugs to fill the screw holes. In general I am very satisfied.

Like some others here, I had poor fit and finish (grooves didn't match, holes were drilled too big, chipped surfaces where holes were drilled). After changing some of the slots and installing larger screws, it turned into a pretty solid shelf. Apparently the results will be different. Seems a bit overpriced for worry. This cabinet is solid and sturdy. It would be even better if I assembled it properly. Directions are not very clear. When I was done I had a small pile of parts which I realized were stabilizing bearings. However, the cabinet is just fine without them. I also did this when I wanted to use some small nails through the cardboard backing above the middle support on the back. I think it really made a big difference. Overall this is a really nice little cabinet and great value for money.

My closet arrived in perfect condition. The tree was not damaged at all. Just collect. It took me and 2 curious cats maybe 20 minutes total. All holes matched and connected with no problems. I should have paid more attention to the size. Guilty. . . BUT it's SUPER small so it's not even advertised as a bookshelf. It comes with five shelves, but you have to take out half of them to fit anything! It's also pretty easy to put together BUT it's awful to make.
