My wife loves this camera very much and my wife does time lapse videos of cooking as we haven't gone out to dinner for the past few months.

I was disappointed with the clarity/focus/sharpness of the final product. Having to use the app to start the recording process was a real challenge for me. I tried different distances and adjusted the focus, but it just wasn't up to the standard I demand for time-lapse videos. They don't offer the option to purchase additional batteries on their website or even if you speak to them. Too soon, too soon to pass time-lapse footage to more experienced troops.

I don't usually write reviews until I've had a product for at least 6 months, but I feel compelled to write this one today, the day I get this camera have. You must download the app that came with this camera in order to "use" it. There is nothing intuitive, no guides, help or troubleshooting tips. Not a bad camera for tech-savvy newcomers. Despite the plain looks, the software isn't as intuitive as you might think. It's important to note that you can only preview footage when you're within range of the camera's Wi-Fi channel. (You can't check it from your office desktop when it's at home.) It also doesn't come with video editing software, but there are plenty of free versions (like Icecream Video Editor). When you're near the camera, it simply connects to the phone app over Wi-Fi, but while it claims to be able to connect to the network, it doesn't. No remote display connection instructions. I reserved an IP address for it and uploaded it to ap but still nothing. NO WEB ACCESS. In fact, you have to constantly switch from a camera connection to a normal Wi-Fi connection to download updates etc. The "Change on the fly" function also doesn't work that way. ATLi EON arrived in beautiful packaging. Setup was intuitive with a QR code scan. Even rain protection for my outdoor adventures is included. Load it up and follow your imagination. I like this little camera, it's a lot of fun. I've used it for time lapses outside our patio, looking for wildlife etc. Love being able to watch videos on the fly. After a while, you'll grasp the nuances of the camera and find out what it's capable of. Dive into the app and you can control the camera manually. I have a 2017 Brinno time lapse camera and use it a lot. It works and for a while it was the only thing that could be used for long term video.
