ATP RA 16 Carbon Activated Premium Review

These filters really made a difference! Increased airflow and much less dust and pollen in the cab. Installation is very easy, took about 10 minutes but it was worth it.

These filters are the correct size and shape for my car, but the air flow indicator on the filters shows the edge of the filters, the black insulated part, is resting on the fan shroud. The blower cap will not snap into place as the lion cap requires the filter to be seated with the black insulated parts on top. I would not recommend this item for a 2008 mazda rx-8 although it says it will fit this car.

I've just ordered a second pair of these headphones. The former worked very well, even during my drive through California's "Dust Bowl" between Los Angeles and Sacramento. Fit easily and well. I haven't noticed any "limited flow" on mine, but I don't usually run it at full blast as I live up north and don't need air conditioning that often. I change mine every year even if they don't work. it is not necessary. Activated charcoal only works until it puts bad smells back into the air.

Used on my wife's rx8, filters fit perfectly, car cabin filter seems overdone but nice to change filters every time they have trapped oil Expose and not get into the filter Fan and circulating air in the cockpit. Every time I change the filter I find that it's usually pine needles, leaves and obvious fine dust particles stuck in the filter media. Found the best price compared to the Purolator brand (the brand I prefer).

Bought this item for my Series 2 RX-8 (R3 version) and it fitted perfectly. I had a bad odor in my air conditioner and this eliminated it immediately. The only negative I can say about them is that they restrict airflow when you turn the AC on full blast. You can hear the hum and feel the vibration of the airflow trying to force its way through the case. I doubt this will do any real harm as I rarely use the aircon even in 100 degree weather so I didn't deduct a star for that.

I noticed bad smells coming into the cabin and I didn't change the cabin air filters in my newly purchased RX-8 so I checked and stumbled across this. I have no idea how much the OEM filters cost (probably overpriced), but they seem good, and they contain activated carbon, the same thing water filters use to remove dirt and odors. They work great, the construction is solid, and there's an added benefit. The carbon that ATP picks up from coconuts gives the air a (very slight) smell of coconut. I

Firstly the cabin air filter I received did not match the picture so I will base my review on what I received assuming it was correct. The filter is what you should expect from a cabin air filter. Nothing really special, but I like the idea that it's activated charcoal. I would have given it 5 stars, but since what I got didn't really fit, I had to take that into account when rating it. Luckily the item I received had a fairly large piece of plastic which I was able to cut off fairly easily…

These cabin air filters are a great OEM replacement for my 2006 Mazda RX8 (AT Trans). The kit comes with two rectangular filters, both of which are used when replacing the cabin filter. Due to size limitations, the filter had to be split in half so it could be placed in the compartment it is stored in. On the 2006 Mazda RX8, this compartment is located behind the glove box.
