🔧 Enhanced ATP Y-1514 Shift Cable for Manual Transmission Review

Worked great for two days. Now it binds pretty badly and it takes a lot of muscle power to change gears. It is not twisted and has no visible damage.

I gave the item 4 stars because it's a great product but they don't indicate which derailleur cable it belongs to. I've forgotten what it is now, but in my Chevy Beretta I have one shift cable that controls side shifts and one that controls up and down movements. Make sure you pick the right one as it wasn't what I wanted. Unfortunately, another costs over $50. I was able to use parts of it to get my old one working, but not interchangeably.

I needed a cord for my 90 Pontiac Sunbird (the one that moves when the switch is flicked from side to side). Two cables are listed as suitable for this vehicle, Y 1515 and Y 1514, but nothing indicates which cable is which. I first ordered 1515 and it was too long, then I ordered this cable and it was closer but still too long.
