ATS Thermal Bypass 2010 2018 Cummins Review

Good reliable product from a reputable company. Unfortunately QC is missing. In the box, the mine did not have a clip to hold the fishing line. You would think that over $100 would include all the parts. I hope I can get one of the old ones to work. Will be updated after installation.

Replaced the factory bypass valve (which was sticking) with this one and saw a significant drop in transmission temp on the highway (from 225 degrees Fahrenheit to 145 degrees Fahrenheit). Excellent product. I recently did a little repair on my truck and when I noticed my transmission temp was 205-212. The works part was off balance and if I hadn't noticed it I probably would have set my gearbox on fire. I don't know at what temperature the cluster warning would have triggered. Pulling our loaded fifth wheel and boat together we ended up with about 20,000 pounds including the truck. In standard form, the transmission operates between 170 and 185 degrees Fahrenheit on the freeway and near 195 degrees Fahrenheit when stopped and driving.
