Description of ๐Ÿ”ฆ Attwood 911339-7 Angled Light Pole 2-Pin Base, Swivel Cover, Zamak Finish, 4" x 1.625

A dependable, stylish host for a light pole. When the light is stowed the base presents a finished look with a swivel cover that closes over the socket. Bright zamak finish. Socket is keyed to prevent incorrect insertion of the pole light. Base measures 4 inches x 1 5/8 inches. A 1 3/8-inch-diameter hole is required for installation. Base includes 7 1/2-inch hard wire leads for connection to a 12-volt DC power supply.

Good electrical quality

Very good quality, but as I said the screw holes do not line up. The original on my 1996 Mariah Talari Z240 has a slightly longer clearance than this replacement. The part numbers are the same, but obviously the design changed at some point. I filled the old holes in the hull with marine grade epoxy and drilled new ones.

Pros
  • Ideal for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Safety

Got me back in the game

Although this base didn't fit my old one (2006 Stingray 250), it got me rowing again in minutes. The only thing that would make it better would be if the wires were connected. This is easy to fix, I unplugged my broken base and plugged it into this one. Plugged in and drove off with working rear fire.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Big and Bulky

Great quality replacement block

As mentioned in other reviews this block is slightly smaller in profile and has a different mounting bolt pattern than the old blocks. In my case I was replacing a 50 year old unit so I had to drill new screw holes and change the mounting hole to accommodate the tab on this unit. The device itself looks good and has a decent weight.

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • Can't remember

Default. Is working. - Navigation Lights

This is exactly what I needed. Replaced stern navigation mast bushing on old boat. They get uncomfortable after a while. Easy to install and works perfectly. I only gave it three stars because the exact same product is $3 less at Wally Mart. Prime products had free shipping but the price is just too high. Would have given a 5 star rating if it was that expensive. . The price of convenience I guess.

No water running! when rowing

I installed it but it's not rocket science or anything. But the only thing I can see is that it might be a problem in the future it's definitely not waterproof! Otherwise everything is ok with the products. I would love it if they had some sort of rubber that would keep water out. I think maybe you should stock up on dielectric grease and maybe cork is the cure.

Pros
  • Impressive
Cons
  • Not the best

My application didn't fit

Very nicely made receiver. The lid mechanism was much better than on my old unit. However, the connector position in the receiver was 1.5 inches smaller than my current one. Because my boat has a rail over the connector, neither this replacement receiver nor the boat can be modified to use this receiver. So I had to return it. If you can get this receiver working in your boat I would definitely recommend it.

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

Good quality - when screw holes are replaced they may not match

The quality is good. But if you're buying it to replace an old anchor light socket, you'll (probably) find that the size of this unit is too small. This means that the holes may not line up. However, I have found that the internal socket (the only worn part of my base) fits my old base unit exactly. So I replaced the bushing, locking spring and screw. I would recommend this unit for new installations and as a replacement for similarly sized base units (read hole alignment).

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • There are some cons

Works for me.: Boating

Easy Install. Works well on the stern of my boat so far. When used with an Attwood lamp post you get a nice bright white light. I used to have an old style lantern where you had to unscrew the outer ring to release the pole so you could lower it into the boat when not in use. The problem is that the top of the canopy is still sticking out of the side of the boat so whenever I covered the boat it always got in the way. Usually every spring when I was preparing the boat I needed a new headlightโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Easy Install
Cons
  • Not for everyone
