SHURE SM7B VS AT2040

So I had the Shure SM7B for about a year. I found out this mic came out and I knew it was the BP-40's little brother. This microphone is OUTSTANDING. One thing you need to understand is that the sounds coming off the sides are distorted, as if it's trying its best to block out the sounds, but it can't do it as well as a BP-40 or Shure SM7B. I have a mechanical keyboard on the back of the mic and I've been watching videos too and no one in my discord hears the volume when I blow it up, excellent

Another solid Audio-Technica product

I've been podcasting with various AT products for the last two years and can honestly say this mic is a very good value -Value for money offers quality, with some caveats. The At2040 is essentially 1/4 the price of a BP40 but has a similar appearance - as I never record video for my podcast I don't care. about what the microphone looks like. In terms of functionality, this mic doesn't require phantom power, which isn't present here or there, as I still need an audio interface to plug into an…
