Aesthetically pleasing, feels premium but muddy sound.

PROS: I liked the cherry wood finish, the magnetic snap covers, and the overall quality feel of these speakers. Almost every button, jack, cable, and IR remote spoke to me of a "quality productโ€ at first glance. Well, the remote could have been a little more responsive, but it was a COOL, solid piece of aluminum!) I really, really wanted these speakers to stay with me and stay with me CONS: Sound Quality Either there was too much wax in your ears, or you blanketed an array of speakers thatโ€ฆ

Really impressed

Anyone complaining about the low frequency response of these speakers must be going crazy. Does the room rattle and shake like a separate subwoofer? No, but definitely close. All tones (except for the lowest end) sound clear with no distortion, even at high volumes. You can feel it in your chest more than my 8 inch subwoofer that was in my last speaker set. Leave it on and shine for the recommended time. Difference between day and night between my old Logitech 5.1 setup. I'm currently runningโ€ฆ

Audioengine HD6 experience (6 months)

When searching for speakers I couldn't find much information about the HD6 on the websites other than professional reviewers or from the manufacturer so I guess: Will a review writing after owning these speakers for over 6 months. I'm not an audiophile, but I study audio equipment and make purchasing decisions like I am. What I'm saying is that I don't have trained ears. Because of this, I can't make any definitive statements about the sound quality of these speakers. I can say that as aโ€ฆ

Great sound with no hassle

I stumbled across these speakers while looking for ways to upgrade and optimize my secondary music system. These powered speakers serve as a replacement for an Onkyo stereo receiver and a pair of Infinity speakers, both of which I found enjoyable to listen to but were showing their age. You've done your job and it's time for something more modern. When evaluating a solid integrated amplifier in combination with or with an external DAC, I found that it would cost me a lot.
