Strong but thin thread

I liked using Aurifil 2600 dove grey, it's very strong and doesn't rip on me and it's a very subtle color that's not too bright. I love how thin the thread is and it doesn't unravel as much as some of the other threads I've tried so it goes through my machine with ease.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Low repairability

False advertising good for sewing

False advertising. There is a 6452 yard taper sticker on the reel. These coils are only about 1400 yards. This seller cheated me. The 36.00 coil is located next to the Aurefil cone. Not even remotely big. I gave this seller one star. Update: Thank you Revain for refunding this item.

Better than I thought.

I've never used threads of this brand so I didn't know what to expect. In the end I loved this thread. I used it for both the bobbin and needle. The color went well with the quilt I had just finished, it had many colors. It was easy to work with and didn't break along the way. This was used for my first quilting project on my new long arm machine so I was expecting trouble. I'm glad they didn't. I will definitely save this thread.

50 wt Multicolour Cone - Great Buy

I am a big fan of Aurofil yarn and only buy this one. This is the first time I've bought a large cone. It has 4.53 times as many threads as its little sister, but is not 4.53 times more expensive. So if you sew a lot (like many of us do masks), get a cone and save some money! This variegation, while odd-looking, is ideal for colorful tie-dye. Think about it. Happy sewing!

Pros
  • Arts, Crafts & Sewing
Cons
  • Slightly Crumpled

Perfect Off-White

Aurifil is the best premium thread for quilting and machine sewing. I was looking for white, but without a light, bleached white and without a very light shade of beige. THIS IS THE PERFECT OFF WHITE as it is a true white but without the harsh brightness I was looking for to best combine with the lightest shade of the fabric. For the price of this premium yarn I expect better color choices and it pays off. After years of using various brands of the much cheaper 40 weight polyester, I finally…
