So far so good. The grinder works great and the coffee tastes better than my old filter coffee machine. I love that you can use ground coffee or freshly grind it if you prefer. The mechanism in which you adjust the degree of grinding, as well as the strength and number of cups, allows you to prepare a drink to your liking. Brews weak coffee. I deliberately set "powder" to 10 and only poured water for 2 cups because I want to brew strong coffee with it (10 = number of beans for 10 cups). less than half full and the coffee is weak. I can't wait to fill a stamp with enough water for 10 cups and dial 10 for "powder" - basically you get brown water. I turned off the grind function entirely because, despite the settings, it never grinds enough beans for a strong coffee.

I used to give it 4 stars when I first used it. In addition to the previous problem with the non-removable pot lid and the bean container that is too close to the water tank, which makes it difficult to pour water, there are other problems. The cup size is not based on the typical 8 oz. So if I really want to make 6 cups of coffee, that's 4 cups or less. So not sure what measure they use. This is a really good coffee maker, we use it every day and we love the fact that you can set it to turn on in the morning (and during the day for me, I work nights ) One thing I don't like is that the hot plate only stays on for an hour. Since almost all my devices are Breville and I like their quality I wanted to buy a Breville BDC650BSS which sells for $300 which is a high one Price is , but I didn't mind paying for quality. It's BIG but with the grinder that comes with it I'm pretty sure it's inevitable. It fits under the cabinets, but you have to pull it out to add water and beans. It is what it is. The water tank is narrow and at the back, so you'll definitely need room to add water without spilling it. I really like the six videos they are posting on the Revain site. Very helpful.
