Appears to be genuine: dipsticks and hoses

Bought for my 2011 Jeep Patriot with approx 50,000 miles and a CVT. At first I was concerned because it seemed like it was going down too fast and no liquid appeared on the dipstick. It turns out that the liquid is really transparent. That makes reading difficult, but that's not because of the tools. The initial readings seem to be in range, but I'll take several readings at different temperatures.

Pros
  • High marks for grip and durability from testers
Cons
  • Repair

Too long for Dodge Caliber Checks

Gave me what appeared to be an accurate transmission oil level, but the cable length is too long to park the lever in place (for 2009 caliber). dipstick. Otherwise they will be saved for future use. Side note: I was inspired to buy by a fraudulent garage in Cedar Springs, Michigan who told me my transmission was bad when it really wasn't. But hey, the old beast needed one more level check. October 2021

Pros
  • Stable test results
Cons
  • Negative result available

Purchased for a 2008 Jeep Patriot CVT after my transmission oil temperature warning light came on. A 96 degree day at 70 miles per hour on Mount Hood in Oregon. According to several YouTube videos and instructions, it shows 100mm hot and 90mm cold. The range should be less than approx. 40mm! I'm not sure about this dipstick or fluid level. even more confused than before.

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Requires an outlet

Works great if you know how to use it.

I found this tool to be almost identical to the Matco tools my colleague has. He paid triple what I paid for Revain. I read a review where the dipstick got stuck in the gearbox. They don't quite get the hang of it. You just insert it until the tip touches the bottom at the end. Check the final reading when the vehicle has warmed up to full operating temperature. Google how much transmission fluid your car's transmission uses and what type of fluid.

Pros
  • Ideal for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Empty

Know how to use it: Spare parts

Ok, just so you know this thing MUST be perfectly straight BEFORE using it for the first time. If you don't, it will get stuck in the gear and you'll have to drop the pan to get it out. This is not due to the manufacturer, but to the design of Dodge. This system was not designed by the seller, and from a mechanical point of view, this is complete nonsense. Be a little patient and fix that thing because it needs to be shipped somehow to save money so be a big boy and use your head and do the…

  • Nice to use

Now I know exactly where my transmission level is!

Dodge said they want $95 to test my transmission fluid life since the factory doesn't have a dipstick. I then asked how much it would cost to flush the transmission and was told an additional $400 to drain and fill. I refused and went searching and found this. Does he stay on the show all the time? no But it comes with a temperature-based liquid chart so you know exactly where everything is! I love this dipstick! It works with several applications in the mopar product line. I highly recommend!

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Not the best
