Works as it should, good device.

Ideal for nailing in hard-to-reach places. Works as expected and a nice little tool to have in your home project toolbox. I would give 5 stars if it was metal.

Pros
  • Practical item
Cons
  • Not as thick as other pickaxes

Good design, bad quality

When I first used them with small nails/nails, the tip of the pliers was not tight enough to hold the nail. ended with a needle nose. Tried to bring them closer together with sandpaper but to no avail.

Pros
  • Comfortable to use
Cons
  • Fits

Finger Saver!: Wedge Pliers

What a great little tool. I'm bad at driving nails because I have bad eyesight so this thing really helps. It is very well made and you can adjust the strength of the swivel. It has holes for many different sized nails and helps when you can't get your hand into a hard-to-reach spot. Great idea!

Pros
  • Very Good Price
Cons
  • Null

Works well after loosening the hinge screw

Trying to drive roofing nails into anything other than shingles is a major pain. My windowsill is dripping. This tool worked reasonably well after loosening the pivot screw, allowing the jaws to be opened and closed with one hand. The plastic shows tiny cracks around the slot I used in the jaws. Overall it's great for short nails.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Available in white only

Excellent customer service

EDIT: Seller contacted me immediately and was quick to replace. Excellent customer service. My nail clippers were so stuck I could barely open them. I tried loosening the screw but that didn't seem to change the tightness. So I sprayed some liquid wrench and it loosened up a bit. I'm not sure if I'm doing this wrong, but every single nail I tried to hammer in just didn't work properly. Was hoping for a little help with the nailing.

Pros
  • Best in niche
Cons
  • Definitely bad product

Good and bad parts of tooling

The hinge was very difficult to open and close due to the edges of the hinge expanding during the molding process - it was an interference fit. I removed the extra piece from the hinge until it ran smoothly, then added a rubber band on the handle to snap it in and hold the nail securely. Now it no longer depends on my grip to hold the nail when reaching difficult spots. He does his job very well. One star off for poor quality control.

Pros
  • Delivery was very quick
Cons
  • I won't say anything

Work on request. Gentle on fingers and nails.

Definitely works as expected. It's hard to tell how many bloody blisters and blackened nails I could have prevented with this remedy over the years. Make no mistake, I've used needle nose pliers, magnets, and a variety of other methods with some degree of success for the last half century. But having a dedicated, lightweight, custom-built device that's as good as this is so much better. No buyer regrets here. Works great and very cheap.

Pros
  • Wedge pliers
Cons
  • Some bugs

Need better quality. Design improvements needed.

Works as described but needs slightly better design and quality. Cons: You should be able to open your jaws by squeezing the handles. Instead, you have to use both hands to open them. The plastic jaws are misaligned, making it difficult to hold small nails. Sponge tips are too thick for small nails and delicate work. Pliers with needles still work better. In general they are bulky. Maybe good for a building frame, but not so good for workshop use.

Pros
  • Tools & Housewares
Cons
  • Expensive

Helpful but not for long.

The tool is very handy in the sense that it doesn't prick your fingers. But because it looks like plastic, the nail gnaws through the hole, slowly expanding it over time as it's hammered. Sooner or later you will no longer be able to use the same house. Also, as other reviews have said, it's not easy to open with one hand, which is fine with me. Bottom line, it's useful but limited in life expectancy when it comes to hole-once-durability. I would not recommend this remedy.

Pros
  • Pliers
Cons
  • unreliable
