Great extender, easy to use, great features.

Great product, I have two of these. They work exactly as I expected, except for a small issue with the power plug on the first unit, which was quickly fixed with a deft twist of a screwdriver. .Two details I really appreciate: POE injection on BOTH ends and bi-directional IR and serial transmission. Cheaper brands may give you a choice of single-ended IR or serial, but rarely both. and even rarer the ability to control the direction of passage of the IC.

Works best in computers and accessories

I have purchased and installed two of these systems and they work very well. I use them to send an HDMI signal from computers in a cinema booth to a projector that is too far away for direct HDMI. I also use a pair of infrared remote receivers/transmitters to send a remote control signal to the projector. There have been times when the HDMI handshake has failed when the projector starts up (I think it happens), but in those cases I just turn the extender pair off and on again after turning on…

IT WORKS! External Components

I bought this solution to solve problems with PS5, Alienware PC (with 2080 Super Card) and Sony 4K Blu-ray Player. My current HDMI cable from my receiver (a Denon 2020 model with HDMI 2.1) to my Sony 4K projector at 25ft dropped a higher bandwidth signal. This felt like a blank or flickering screen, and I was hoping that either an 8K fiber optic cable (fragile at long lengths) or an HDMI Ethernet solution would work. Offers reliable HDR10 and ARC quality

I needed a better solution for my 9m HDMI cable from my media cabinet to our Sony Bravia with 4K HDR/DolbyVision support. I didn't want to use any other HDMI cable and was reading about HDMI over Ethernet so I decided to give it a try.
