AVEDA Aveda Malva Color Shampoo Review

I've tried several purple shampoos with no success. I tried it because I realized that even if it doesn't work, based on numerous reviews it looked like it would last a long time and it sounded like it had a nice smell. I use it 2-3 times a week and wow. My hair is shoulder length and was white and silver at the roots and golden yellow at the ends. (Our water has a ton of iron.) I read a lot of positive reviews and ordered. Liked the aroma. Unfortunately, I felt "squeaky clean" while doing the dishes. Dried my hair out a bit and removed some of the waves in my hair leaving just a small wave that fluttered goodbye on day 2. Didn't take away the yellow cast but added a nice silver to my white hair. I wanted a shampoo that would keep my gray hair white and upon re-reading the contents of the bottle I realized it was meant to add silver. how did i miss it Guilty.

I am about to change from brunette to silver. Although my hair color is a little "spongy" at the moment, according to my hairstylist, at least the silver bits are bright and shiny, and what's left of the brown isn't too coppery. A big plus is that my hair is healthy now. I would definitely recommend Blue Malva to anyone transitioning to natural silver hair.

I have silver hair and love this product. We have been using it for several years now. A 33.8 ounce bottle lasts a very long time. I would say about 8 months. I wash my hair every day.
