Inexpensive, works well with Echo Plus hub, hub connection trick needs to be known

So far the Cree lights are working fine after connecting to my Echo Plus hub. I was having connection issues until I reread the Revain reviewers' comments on a trick you should know. Don't turn it on until you click the 'Discover Devices' button immediately. The Cree lamp has a very short detection window and you will miss it if you turn it on before you click "Discover Devices". That is why you do NOT want to buy these lamps.

I bought five of these lamps and was initially quite happy with them. Installation was just screwing them into the sockets and it was pretty easy to plug them into my SmartThings hub. I liked the simplicity and the fact that they allow dimming without the need for an external dimming circuit. That's the problem. Those damn things flash randomly all the time! Difficult to set up. Failed configuration.

I bought this smart lightbulb for $4 because I thought it was very cheap compared to my Sengled smart lightbulb. However, this pear is inferior in many ways and in the end I had to return it despite the good price. 1) I can't connect 2 out of 3 lightbulbs.
