I've had this for a few months and have used it several times. The chamber itself is decently constructed for a simple vacuum chamber. The manifold and fittings are pretty basic and work as expected, the cap is a decent thickness and the gaskets are just enough. The pressure gauge reads only -14psi and -0.1MPa, but that should be enough for a small chamber. You have to do the math if you want in Hg or any other dimension. I just received a 3 gallon kit with pump. Instructions and information on the web strongly recommend stopping the pump for safety reasons when the meter stops moving. The reasons. I have several small, very porous pen blanks in a 3 liter Pyrex container in a vacuum chamber coated with Hold Fast stabilization resin. This product works when you need to do small things but if you need a long lasting vacuum pump I don't think this is the best product. Customer service is great, they sent replacements when I needed them, but unfortunately I had to request parts a couple of times. Vacuum works well for degassing silicone but releases vapor when turned on. When I opened the box to use it, it had no threads to connect the tubing from the pump to the chamber.
