and with this blade in scraper #665 everything goes like soft butter

simply bomb! Finishing off an old hardwood floor with hand scrapers and these blades is worth every penny. This floor has lots of very old paint stains and heavy streaks of stucco dripping over the floor's original varnish and stain and it all comes off like butter with this #665 scraper blade.

Pros
  • elegant design
Cons
  • little things

Fits a 30 year old Sandvik scraper

Copes very well with peeling paint on real mid 1950's plaster. Real plaster is rock solid and lasts forever, but if it's not properly primed or painted, the paint can come off. After removing the loose paint, clean the surface and make sure you use a good porous surface primer. Check the label carefully so you don't run into the same problem again.

Pros
  • Pleasant to use
Cons
  • Some bugs

Stay sharp: paint, wall cleaners and accessories

I have two Bahco carbide scrapers. The carbide blades are durable and reversible (or rotatable). Even in very strong materials like hardened West System 105 epoxy filled with glass microspheres. These are my favorite scrapers of all kinds and I have them all. Small with three-sided rotating blade, ideal for corners, curves and so on. This and that can clean almost any surface.

Pros
  • Great product
Cons
  • Definitely bad product

Very durable and economical.

I use this carbide blade in my Bahco scraper for a variety of jobs. I recently scraped a (damaged) finish off a piece of furniture. It was easy. The blade is sharp, flat, straight and strong. It has two working edges so it should last a very, very long time. Please remember that although carbide is very hard, it is also somewhat brittle and the cutting edge can snap if misused. After chipping and dulling, the blade should be discarded as it is impractical to sharpen. worth your money.

You will never buy a scraper like Bahco again!

I have a ranch that has all the cedar cocktails. Moved into the house 1 1/2 ago and wasn't sure if I was going to photograph the cedar necks or the side. I chose to keep the cocktails because they give the house a certain rustic vibe that we like. But damn, those things were chipping a lot of paint. I've read a lot about how to prepare a house for painting wooden sheds. I figured it would take a lot of work and time and it would basically be a pre-paint. Well after reading all the good reviewsโ€ฆ
