Useless Splitting Tool for Anchors

This tool is a complete waste of time and money. The twist just creates more resistance and doesn't help with splitting. It's not even strong enough to handle basic tasks. On the plus side, it is made of durable materials. However, that does not make up for how ineffective it is. Overall, there are much better options out there in the Industrial and Scientific category for anchors and fasteners.

Pros
  • Durable and reliable tool for splitting wood.
Cons
  • Not suitable for smaller logs or kindling, as the 8.5 inch size may be too large.

Buy a regular wedge instead.

Mine had no notches on the edges. Nice concept, that's why I bought it. I haven't found it to split any better than a standard wedge, in fact it extends more vertically than my other wedges.

Pros
  • Anchor
Cons
  • So far so good

Best wedge worth the extra price

Over the years I've chopped wood with a variety of tools. The shape of the curve is very important. It may not be noticeable with light splitting, but when you go deep into cross-grain wood the normal wedge just stops and you're stuck until you start the second wedge. This is a very rare problem with this wedge.
