I do not recommend this cap. I bought one along with a Kohler GP800820 pressure equalizer and it didn't work at all. It fitted well and all, but when I turned on the water the shower valve didn't stop the flow of water. Put the old cap back on and it worked. I ended up going to a home store to get a genuine Kohler part #GP77759 which worked great. This is a replacement part and not worth the few bucks you can save compared to Kohler parts.

As said, this is an imported replacement shower valve. It works as expected but it will be interesting to see if it lasts. It is well made and includes all the usual extras such as circlip, stainless steel screws, washers and o-rings for various models, plus a packet of grease for assembly. I maintain them fairly regularly and have bought them from Revain before. usually seen when I bring in a Kohler shower valve. I must confess that I did not read the description of this dealer carefully.

DO NOT BUY! I bought the pressure equalizer (separately) and this valve (Kohler calls it "the cap") at the same time from the same seller. The sealing worked well. The valve let water through no matter what position the handle was in. Didn't close, was open to the fullest. I thought I did something wrong. This isn't the hard part. I changed the setup a few times, same result. I gave up, went to Lowe's and bought another one, a Kohler brand. Problem solved, lesson learned. Buy original spare…

6 months ago my shower started with a slow drip. So I investigated the problem and was told I needed a new valve. I received this as an unbranded replacement part. Now 6 months later my shower head had a constant flow so I had to call a plumber. Since the valve was fairly new, they attempted to fix and replace everything else. The installation guide that came with it was cryptic, but with that and the old device I was able to figure everything out.
