Don't waste time and energy

Save time, energy and frustration by buying genuine Kohler parts first. This product appears to be the same as Kohler, but it isn't! It was very frustrating doing the same work over and over again because of these faulty products.

Pros
  • 4. Please pay attention to the correct installation of the O-ring, the O-ring must sit exactly in the groove, do not turn the ink cartridge, just insert it straight.
Cons
  • Great Price

Not Working Properly

I ended up using only part of the PBU - it worked for a while, but now the drip is back. The other part doesn't work as it should. When turned to the off position, it still spits out water. It's like "off" is actually in the middle, but the buttons it was designed with have "off" at the end of the full range of motion. I have to call a plumber.

Pros
  • 1. Controls pressure and regulates temperature to allow for a comfortable shower, eliminating the problem of old appliances leaking and preventing hot and cold water from mixing properly.
Cons
  • Not bad, but...

Easy to install and troubleshoot

My old unit wasn't mixing hot and cold water properly to the point where hot water was leaking into the cold faucets. I purchased this item along with plumbing lube and replaced the old unit. It only took me about 20 minutes to fix it, but someone with more plumbing experience could probably fix it in 5 minutes. Now I have no water mix and no leaks. So far, so good.

Pros
  • 5. Please note that this is not a Kohler original, it is a after-sale replacement by Kohler.
Cons
  • Hard to tell

This is not a working replacement for Kohler's part.

I installed it as a replacement for my Kohler and when I turned on the water it worked as expected. However, when I turned the knob to the "off" position, the water kept flowing and it wasn't a drip. It was a constant flow. That is trash. So for the money I spent I took the gaskets off that new block, installed them on my old block and that fixed the initial little drip issue I was having. I threw away the new block. On the other hand, my leak was fixed, so here's the thing.

Pros
  • 3. Including sandpaper, which can help you remove limescale and prevent leakage caused by limescale.
Cons
  • I vaguely remember
