Description of 🍯 BEST-SELLING Secure-Grip Jar Lifter by Jarden Home Brands

Ergonomic handle. Molded grip on jars. Spring release. The spring hinge improves strength and pops open automatically. Molded grip increases contact surface versus other jar lifters.

Excellent canning tool

I was skeptical based on some of the reviews on here, but this is a 64 ounce can full of water and will hold it securely. I'm sure this will hold pints and quarts out of a tin can just fine. It seems sturdy and I held the jar in my non-dominant hand to take the picture (a pineapple jar is included for size reference). Solid purchase.

Pros
  • Everything great!
Cons
  • Clarity

Not as good as the old style.

I bought this dish after seeing a review on a cooking show where it got this review. It doesn't match their rating. I figured it would be a better tool than one of their older models I own because it has a tighter grip on the can. This wasn't the case because there is a shoulder that expands and hits the cans around it. Also, it doesn't hold the can as securely as the old model, and the can fell out from under my grip. That was not the case with the older model. Very disappointing.

Pros
  • Pleasant to use
Cons
  • Incredible piggy bank

It's a bit faint feeling

I bought this because of the speed of delivery, I wanted to shake some loquat jam and my trees matured earlier than usual due to the strange weather. I'm new to canning and haven't had any of these before. This one is much thinner than I expected and quite difficult to grab with both small cans (due to their almost too small size) and large cans (due to their weight). I found better ones in the store. Pros: It can grab cans Cons: It doesn't grab cans very well, which isn't ideal when they're…

Big invader! - Cookware

This is the best can lifter I have ever had! As some people have said, the handle is a little shorter than others, but it is designed to be more comfortable to grip. Another nice feature of this can lifter is that it fits nicely between the cans in your full tin can, making it easy to reach, pick up and remove the mason jars. I've used it for about 50 doses and it's as good now as it was when I got it. I bought 2 extras, one for my daughter and the other for me in case I can't get them in the…

The Best Can Lifter

I've used a variety of can lifters and while most have been fine, there is a moment of truth in canning when you take a filled can out of boiling water - you can hold it so it doesn't fall back into the water, or worse, crashes onto the bottom? I haven't experienced any of the usual issues with the Ball Secure Grip Lifter. Once you pick up the glass, it stays in the jaws without slipping. The gripper is well built, solidly built and easy to use on all containers including Ball, Mason and Weck…
