Additional plugs make it more versatile!

I have version one and now the second. Both work equally well. I like the different connectors, they are good for portability.

This is a perfect item as described

I received this item on time, easy installation, it really fits my long wire antenna perfectly, improves everything in my SDR device, nooelect, so it's a good item. I recommend this product to everyone. low-noise reception. and it is imperative that the quality of the product is excellent.

1. had a badly soldered SMA connector. 2. Works well, multiple emails asking for feedback - this is not normal.

The first one had a badly soldered SMA connector but the replacement went fine. Emailed twice to provide feedback so I'm leaving my honest opinion here. Please DO NOT send multiple emails asking for feedback. It is enough to ask once, it irritates and annoys customers.

Does excellent work at an affordable price.

I bought this balun and built a 40m horizontal dipole antenna and I have nothing bad to say about it. It does its job well and the price is great. The only thing I wish it was different would be cool if it came with a case or nooelec offered one for that. But there's nothing that a little ingenuity can't provide.

This is not BALAN. This is UN.

As previously mentioned, this V2 product is incorrectly labeled and described. It seems the PCB designers (and advertisers) thought the primary/antenna coil was a tap center. It's not like UNUN does. Still, it's a well-constructed unit in a user-friendly form factor. If you need BALUN, please buy V1 unit. If you need UNUN, buy this one, V2. Nooelec, you need to do some research and correct the name and description of your item.

"Random Wire" antenna, expects to be able to be configured as an autotransformer like V1. The device I bought could not be configured like this - the RF transformer on the board is different. (The HF transformer isn't center-tapped like the V1 transformer.) However, you can probably use this to match a balanced and unbalanced line, which my testing seems to confirm - it's just not "typical". unun setup autotransformer commonly used.
