Not suitable for large ramps or tall people

Likes: light weight, good shape, eco-friendly, reasonable price Dislikes: too flexible to the point (pictured) that it's almost unsafe on big ramps and that makes it difficult to pump and get good speed. I put on risers and was still getting stress cracks within the first month of use (I weigh 200 pounds). Overall I think this board is best suited for a light person between 90 and 145 pounds.

Pros
  • Durable test results
Cons
  • Price that breaks the piggy bank

Beautiful skateboard in sport

I was hesitant to buy a bamboo board because I've been riding maple decks for 20 years, but now I can say I really like the feel of it. It seems to be a bit more "popular" than other decks I've ridden. It doesn't feel soft at all and I even think it's a bit stiffer than my previous deck. Glides very well. The hardness of bamboo makes it slide very quickly. I will buy them from now on.

Pros
  • Lots of positive emotions
Cons
  • Big and chunky

It's no good if you're actually a skateboard.

When I first put it on the ground it sounded like a normal skateboard when completely submerged in water. This board sounded like one of those Wal-Mart boards, just a dead "clack" sound; no connection to it. Since bamboo is a bit flexible, it absorbs the impact of cotton and is pretty bad for tricks. If it were "better" in every way, it would be ridden by professionals. It's good. Want to bang like Luan? Choose Canadian maple.

Pros
  • Easy installation
Cons
  • Only available in black

upset. for skateboard parts

We haven't been bored for a while but the board had some dents and the box was clean so it was poor quality control. The holes weren't buried, we had to bury the holes. My son seems happy with this, we covered the bottom with epoxy to reinforce the underside. Honestly, if I order again, I'll just take him the regular maple. This board was supposed to be the same size as his last skateboard but was about 3 inches longer but feels a lot bigger.

  • Absolute Legend
Cons
  • Upgradeable

Good deck board, I recommend

This deck is beautiful. I definitely recommend it. It's not as light as I expected, it looks like only the outer layers are made of bamboo, the cores can still be made of wood. But okay, maybe for strength's sake. I have no idea about the deck production, I can't comment on that. The reason I gave it 4 stars is because the branding position is very annoying and unnecessary. Because I placed the graphics on the top and used a hard touch, the branding and board size number became visible. Better…

I do my tricks like Chad Muska jumping the river and I'm certified 225

The board felt a little different at first. I didn't really like the concavity and shape, not the material. I'm still very confident that bamboo skateboards will catch on as a replacement for maple. From an ecological point of view, it is a much less harsh resource to grow. I do my tricks like Chad Musk jumping the river and I have 225. The board broke after my fourth ride. For me it's a normal ride as I still encounter stairs and railings. I still break a lot of boards and that's the nature of

Ideal for 95% of riders

There may be a small handful of skaters that would be better off with a solid maple board. Maybe those who are very heavy and are looking for less flexibility? Maybe someone slipping on a really rough surface? The bamboo board is a bit softer on the bottom so it will scratch but I guess it's just cosmetic. Personally, I don't even pay attention to the bottom of my board because I tear it up after a day on any board (maple or not) - skateboards are meant to be scratched and mangled. As long as…
