Poor quality for portable audio and video

I bought this product less than a year ago and almost all of them are already broken. The sound quality is not very good and the cables connecting the headphones break easily. The antennas also often fall off and I have to constantly reattach them because they are not screwed tight. Also, many radios can't even charge. Not worth the money, do not buy.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • poor

These radios are simply not programmed. I use .

These radios just don't get programmed. I am using 888s software and BF480 software recommended by the vendor and I have used CHIRP. They are programmed with VHF FREQUENCY BAND but with UHF FREQ. I clone existing radios and record a new upload and it boots with no errors but nothing but some gibberish with channels 5,6,7. I tried to find out, but nothing happened with the seller.

Pros
  • Weight
Cons
  • Nothing here

Test when you get them

Be sure to test these radios when you get them, especially if you are buying multiple units. Apparently the quality control is not very good. I bought a pack of 20 and programmed them to my requirements. When I got to the fourth it wouldn't turn on, even after trying several known-good batteries and carefully inserting each one. A 25% failure rate - so far - isn't good, although for their price they're usually considered decent radios. Features like output power, frequency accuracy, etc. After…

Very versatile portable transceiver

This is a highly versatile portable transceiver. They are FCC approved for 70cm ham radio and can be easily programmed for this purpose using CHIRP software. You can easily find that with Google. Other applications such as GMRS are not FCC approved, but devices are poised to provide that service and again, CHIRP would be a great benefit. Devices work in scan mode, which makes them great for surveillance purposes. You can also disable transmission with CHIRP to prevent a child or person from…

Pros
  • Slim design
Cons
  • Almost everything is in order

The quality is not there this time.

I have been using these radios for a few years now. For the price, I understand they won't last forever. This last order of 20 is the lowest quality I have ever seen. They are lighter I think because less metal is used in the production. The first thing I noticed was that the clips that came with it are made entirely out of plastic. It's less of a clip and more of a piece of plastic that needs to be bent to attach. Older radios have a metal plate with a spring that twists like a real clip, more

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Interchangeable

Great radios for the price

I work at a junkyard and we are tough on literally everything. The radios we were using got lost, broke or died one by one, so we tried to replace them. Given the cost of replacing these Nokias, they only wanted 2 or 3 and that wasn't enough. So I jumped on the Revain and started looking. When I first found it, I was skeptical because of the price. We could buy 15 Baofeng radios for the price of a Nokia replacement. The authorities insisted that we not waste time and money on $12 radios. A few…

Great product for the price

I have bought a 20 pack twice already. These are fantastic little devices that I always rely on. But you must understand their limitations. These are 2w radios so they don't transmit well through walls (you can go through a wall in convention centers but no more). They work best within line of sight.) The quality isn't perfect, but for communicating in a simple venue, from home to the beach or even on a ski mountain, they work great. And at this price point, you don't care if your kids lose…
