Deaf as a Rock Good for Radio

The guys at the 222mhz repeater were yelling at me (I was so close) and I could hear them better than the radio. save your money

Pros
  • Easy to Read Control Panel
Cons
  • Update Available

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Do not use on FM near public radio stations.

It works, but the harmonics on VHF are strong enough to block nearby VHF radios, so don't use it near fire or police radios. Also a typical Baofeng.

Pros
  • Certified
Cons
  • Very expensive

Oh shit, Baofeng.

Not good, but not bad either. If you only plan to use them for camping or around the house, they're fine. 220 works fine. My wattmeter reads 4.2 watts. I converted the antenna to a tribander.

Pros
  • GOLS certificate
Cons
  • Out of fashion

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Not great but for the money what can I expect

On the road and driving from car to car they don't do very well if you are separated by more than 4-5 cars but in the mountains they do an impressive 1 mile done through a fairly dense area in yellowstone national park so for the money i will keep them for cuz they are good enough for what i do.

Pros
  • Weight
Cons
  • Safety

Not very good but for $ what should I expect

Took a trip and car to car they are not very good if you are more than 4-5 cars away but in the mountains they have one performed impressively Drove a good 1 mile through pretty dense country in Yellowstone National Park so for $1 I'm sticking with them because they're good enough for what I'm doing.

Pros
  • two way radios
Cons
  • bits and pieces
