Great tool for calculating the cost of electricity in your home

I have a van in my garden and this has allowed me to determine exactly how much energy it is using without having a separate meter. I plan to switch it over once a month and keep track of how much it costs me each month to run each device. stove, air conditioning, washer and dryer, jacuzzi, etc.

Works as described - Voltage tester

Installed to measure the current draw of my 240VAC pool pump. Works very well so far after 2-1/2 weeks. Installing it on a DIN rail, which you have to buy separately, was a bit tricky, but after a few tries it stayed in place. 2 suggestions for the company - Turn on the peak power display function and turn on a short section of DIN rail.

  • Hands free operation

Perfect socket meter for Tesla

I wanted to measure how much electricity I'm putting into my Tesla over time and was looking for several options that were worth a lot more money when I stumbled upon them. I have exactly what I wanted - a simple counter that doesn't reset to zero but counts up as energy is consumed. This device was easy to install. It took me more time to install the junction box than to install the meter.

Pros
  • Delivery was very quick
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging

Works as advertised for a fraction of comparable devices.

Bought both this digital 60Hz and analog 50Hz. Both work with North American wiring and count 800/kWh pulses. I made a custom outer case for $12. J box 6x6. Now I can measure the power consumption used to charge my Nissan LEAF. An American brand sub-meter from a local utility costs $400. It comes with a nominal outer case and carries a 10-year warranty, but it's also made in China. So based on the price difference and the fact that both are made in China, I don't feel guilty for not buying an…

Some information in voltage tester

Okay so very little info but I have answers, the first 220v in Europe produces true 220v AC at 50Hz Hz to get. So on this meter you can use L1 or Load 1, let's say your black wire or a side load wire is 120VAC and the L2 wire is labeled L2/N meaning Load 2 could be your white or red wire for example could, the other is 120VAC. side of the 220 VAC switch. N stands for Neutral so can also be used as a 120VAC neutral wire or white wire as a ground wire. Look inside your circuit breaker box to see…

Another nice feature are the two spacers that go with the .

Judging by the reviews this unit will work fine over time. I gave one star for lack of documentation. About the Wire Size: Reviews say it doesn't fit larger wires. Not true. It is suitable for wire gauges that significantly exceed the meter's current rating. Another nice feature is the presence of two standoffs that fit inside the block for smaller wires like 14 AWG. I believe it would be quite tricky to properly attach the device to smaller wires such as a power cord due to the two…
