Sleek and Stylish Strainer Enhances Cocktail Making

This julep strainer is a must-have for any home and kitchen bartender! Its stainless steel design adds a touch of sophistication to my cocktail making. The strainer effectively filters out ice and bits of ingredients, resulting in a smooth cocktail. The only downside is that it is a bit pricier compared to other strainers on the market.

Pros
  • Sturdy stainless steel construction for durability.
Cons
  • May require regular cleaning to maintain its polished appearance.

Good tight spring, ideal for kitchen utensils and gadgets

Many Hawthorne filters have wire springs that are loose enough that you can easily stick your finger through them. This completely defeats the purpose of the filter. Not this one - the spring is tight and tight and filters drinks very well. Fits snugly in a standard mixing glass and will obviously fit anything wider (like a mixing bowl).

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Ratio set

Serrated strainer too small

Bought a fancy brass julep strainer to use with a barfly mixing glass. Although it looks good, it's too small to use. It doesn't snag and seems to be shedding a lot of ice around the edges. However, its size is suitable for a pint glass or even a small shaker can. So if you mix any of these it should work just fine. But not for a full-size mixing glass.

Pros
  • Same as everything before
Cons
  • Definitely bad product
