So cute! But the design is a sticker that my little one chewed off in places almost immediately. I wouldn't mind, but I'm not a big fan of the way he swallows glue and paper.

Ours lasted less than an hour before we had to pick it up. Called the Fisher Price, they don't make the product. They sold the license to another company. and when i called them to complain they were great and sent me 3 toys to replace the 2 i was complaining about. (FYI, a tape recorder is not a tape recorder.)

I had this puppy as a child, he is pictured here alongside the new model I bought for my boys. This was my favorite toy and my 2.5 year old and 1 year old both love them. I am sad because the new version is not real wood and the tail is not good coil spring. Overall it brought back fond memories and creates new wonderful memories for my boys.

As a kid of the 60's I remember these toys very well. Watch, phone and bloodhound. In this century, the world has skimped on quality on everything. The dog is 50% smaller, a clock that was once heavy wood is now cheap cheap inferior plastic with a fake sticker on it, I am in shock with pain and done with a very long time buying a toy, this is false advertising.

I love this toy and it is an exact replica of the toy my grandma had at home and my father played with as a child. The only reason for 3 stars is that this toy couldn't do with a bit of chewing. Colour/colour oozed along with her saliva and his poor face was mutilated by her tiny teeth. I plan on ordering another one, but I would refrain from giving this toy to any child who is still in the put it in their mouth stage of life.

It's like what you had as a kid. Unfortunately, they replaced the elastic tail with an inert piece of plastic. The body is now plastic instead of wood, as expected, and the ratchet inside has been replaced with a small gear and thin piece of plastic. It makes a slight click as the gear moves under the plastic strips as you pull. It's not as loud as it used to be. The leash tends to tangle a bit when the dog falls, but straightens out easily enough.
