    Comfortable - my new rating

Decent pair of shoes. They have excellent grip and prevent slipping. The mesh provides good ventilation that allows the feet to breathe and it was comfortable to work in even in the heat. The body of the shoe is well formed and feels like it will continue to hold up with wear and use. Arch support is decent and comfortable. If you need more support you can add a more durable insole. The laces are a little flimsy and will likely need to be replaced soon as they feel like they are about to break.

    Pros
    • Shoes for the US Army are made by several brands, one of which is Bates. That's why...
    Cons
    • Too small

    Less than 4 months later

Bates has always had quality shoes, so the price doesn't bother me. We bought a pair that lasted less than 6 months and had a hole like the one in the picture above. We thought it was an accident and bought a new pair. They lasted less than 4 months. I expected that from a $20 shoe. Super disappointed.

    Pros
    • The affordable price makes them a practical and affordable choice for workers on a tight budget.
    Cons
    • May not meet safety standards for specific jobs such as construction or electrical work.

Works a bit small - good quality but not for the price

I had higher expectations for this shoe compared to the price. My husband wears a size 10.5. Instead he sometimes wears a size 10 but never a size 11. I ordered a size 10.5 and these shoes are so tight he can't put them on. I know other reviewers have said these shoes are true to size, but in my experience you should order 1/2 size up. The shoes are generally well constructed and my husband has said that if they fit him he will find them very comfortable. . They also look very nice and are…

    Pros
    • Provides superior comfort and support for extended periods of time at work.
    Cons
    • For people with flat feet, there is not enough arch support.

    Revainrating 2 out of 5

Light and comfortable, but with a design flaw and unreliable CS

Initially I was very happy with the comfort, fit and even the black on black look of these shoes. Due to the large mesh inserts, they are also suitable for long walks in hotter climates. However, those mesh panels are a weak point in what appears to be the brand's first design: after just a few months of (admittedly daily) use. the net slowly began to tear. Bates customer service considered it a defect (I agree) and sent several emails (I had to remind them) and months later they sent a brand…

    Pros
    • I've been looking for a pair of comfortable brown tennis shoes for months. You are perfect!
    Cons

    Bought for LEO, fits me

I work in law enforcement and was looking for something light and comfortable. As long as they're great. Feel like running shoes. I haven't had them in a while so I'm giving them 3 stars.

    Pros
    • Helps reduce stress on joints and muscles and promotes overall health and well-being
    Cons
    • Shoes can be outside of the average price range for many consumers.

Comfortable shoes are the best in my rating

I love this shoe. It's the right size with good support. The profile grips well and the upper is very light and breathable. These are good walking shoes. Traditional lacing which I like doesn't slip down the leg. Fits well but not too tight. Good shoes all round.

    Pros
    • The non-slip sole helps prevent accidents and injuries in the workplace.
    Cons
    • No noticeable anti-slip technology

    fits my rating perfectly

A size 11 fits perfectly and my husband says he's never had a more comfortable 'tennis shoe'. These are very light shoes. It also looks great.

    Pros
    • Available in versatile and stylish black.
    Cons
    • The soles may lack flexibility, causing discomfort with prolonged wear.

    Comfortable but not durable.

I have had this shoe for over 2 months and my job is shipping. One tore the sidewall at the top where the fabric is and at the top of the boot where the rubber was beginning to peel off. I have worn Bates boots before and they are durable which is not something I can say about the shoes. Although they are very comfortable and light.

    Pros
    • Specially developed for industrial and demanding working environments
    Cons
    • May not be suitable for high intensity work

    Not comfortable at all

Pretty disappointed in these. I wear their motorcycle boots, which I like a lot. But these shoes are terrible. No support and not comfortable at all.

    Pros
    • A comfortable lace-up design allows for easy and precise adjustment for a perfect fit.
    Cons
    • Shoes may not be available in all sizes, making it difficult for those with unusually large shoes.

    Very convenient: my rating

They are very comfortable and light. He lays tiles and does other types of chores so he's on his feet all the time, and when he's not doing projects for his company he's doing chores for his friends. great brand for workers.

    Pros
    • Lightweight construction reduces fatigue and stress on feet, legs and back.
    Cons
    • The durability can be questionable with intensive long-term use

You can never go wrong with a pair of Bates

I have worn nothing but Bates 8 inch side zip medical/tactical boots. The best banks for the dollar. When I was looking for some durable tennis shoes, I decided to try these. I am not disappointed! Worth the price.

    Pros
    • They fit and are very comfortable.
    Cons
    • This style runs small compared to other boots.

True Eleven Fit for tennis and racquet sports

Very comfortable shoe. Using mesh reduced the weight a bit as they are lighter than most of my running shoes. As soon as I put them on, it was clear to me that a time break would not be necessary. The midsole provides plenty of cushioning and makes every step a pleasure. The outsoles have real traction that keeps my feet firmly planted in whatever conditions I'm in. They have a very aggressive pattern and still cushion my step because they help dampen a lot of the vibration before they do so…

    Cons

    Outstanding Profile

These shoes are comfortable and have a nice profile. I work in delivery, drive a lot, get in and out of the car all day, go to different places, never slip or slide, they have a great profile. Would recommend this to anyone. Bates is a great company.

Read my review. Best in tennis and racquet

I bought Bates shoes. I chose this brand because I thought they would last. I was completely wrong. The material used for this shoe is cheap. As I was drying my boots I noticed a hole in the boots. These are not everyday shoes. Very dissatisfied!

The first pair was great. The second is not very good.

Bought my first pair of Bates shoes in 2016, they lasted about 2 years and all tread was gone. After going through a few sketchers I finally had to buy a new pair and decided to try them again in May 2020. I got the closest to the previous ones I could find as that model was no longer available. It lasted 8 months, the mesh around the toes started to tear, very disappointed with the drastic change in quality.

    Pros
    • Easy setup
    Cons
    • There are other interesting options.

Long and narrow, fell apart after about 6 months.

Bates Rush shoes are very light and breathable. When I work in a factory in the summer, my feet hardly ever sweat. They were comfortable even after breaking in, but it took about a month. These shoes are getting tight and the sides of my feet are going to hurt every day. Eventually they broke and became comfortable. They also tend to walk a little longer. I usually take a size 12 but these feel like a 12.5. Their grip leaves a lot to be desired. They're good on dirt roads, parking lots, and…
