Great addition to the 1510 Battery Minder. The battery in my car is in a closed compartment. This option allows you to easily connect to a 12V outlet.

I have several of these VPP-12 cigarette lighter adapters for my many BatteryMinders. They are very well made and work well. They have a slight tendency to pop out of some of the larger cigarette lighter sockets, but that only happens to me on one car and not others, and it's not a problem with my portable power adapters that have cigarette lighter charging ports.

It works well in the lighter ships in our two heavy trucks (which is why I bought it). With our heavy trucks, the batteries in our Peterbilt are hard to reach; The batteries in our Kenworth are very difficult to access. This makes it very easy to connect our BatteryMINDer to trucks to service their batteries. Unfortunately, it falls out of the socket on our 1989 Chevy G20 van. However, I can easily get to the battery to use the alligator clips.

Seems to be working fine as I've been hooking it up to my Escalade ESV for a few days now. It keeps the battery optimally charged, which was a challenge as all the options always draw power and I don't ride it that often. Hooking it up was easy as I only used the rear outlet. The other connection cables are fine and I also installed one on my Kawasaki Teryx 800. I particularly like this model because it allows the charge to flow as the battery requires. I am using the included color coded + & - battery post rings and quick disconnect cable for a car that is stored in a garage. Battery Minder is not designed for outdoor use. The power plug uses the cigarette lighter socket in the car to charge and desulfate the car battery stored outside.
