🚲 BaveL 36pcs Steel Spokes: Premium MTB Spokes for Mountain Bikes 281mm-295mm with Nipples Review

I took a handful of needles and checked for consistent length, there were slight visual differences but nothing to worry about, thread length was the same. The spoke nipple is larger, I used a red parking spoke and it fitted perfectly, while building two sets of wheels with these spokes, the wheels fitted together as they should. I'm curious how they will hold up over the winter but will be able to use them soon.

Maybe I'm the only one who has had bad experiences. I was willing to wait for them to be sent from China, no big deal. I ordered 36 silver 292mm spokes. I received a pack of 39 black spokes with "289" written on the outside of the pack. In addition, the spokes were only 287 mm long. Guess what? They don't fit on my bikes. I just spent $10 on this crap and I shouldn't waste my time bringing it back to China. save your money

The spokes worked and looked great (black on silver) although the aluminum nipples were a bit of a hassle. The nipples were mostly fine, but since the spokes were a few millimeters longer (my fault) some of the nipples had to be rotated over the nipple caps. Since the nipples were soft metal, excess metal blocked the spoke hole in the cap, probably during the cutting process. I was able to use the spoke as a faucet and push it through, otherwise everything was great!

As an amateur I've built several dozen 700c street bikes over the last few years. I have always used Sapim Race/Laser spokes and nipples but decided to save some money and give them a try. I ordered the spokes assuming they fit my measurements not the rim and the final product as I only found important that they fit the exact length ordered.
